Stay away from this dealership at all costs.
I had the worst new vehicle purchase experience of my life with this dealership. Unfortunately, my 2016 RAM was ageing, had 172K miles and was slowly costing more money to repair. So, I started looking for a new vehicle. On April 21, I walked into Dupage CDJ looking to buy a new vehicle, as they showed the vehicle in inventory. Upon my arrival, I met with the salesperson and he and I proceeded into the lot to look and test drive trucks. Evaluating a model I desired, I asked if they had it in another color. They informed me that it was on another lot and they would have to transfer it the next day. I was contacted on April 23 that the vehicle was available to test drive and purchase. Upon arrival, I was allowed to test drive the vehicle to ensure this was the one for purchase. Once the decision was made to move forward, he proceeded to show me the cost and high-level breakdown of the discounts. This is where the experience took the turn from hell. When I first met the salesmen, I informed him that I would be trading in a vehicle that already had a documented appraised value and a formal approval letter from my credit union that would be financing it. Although, I had these documents, they still took my keys to âreappraiseâ my car. Along with this, I was informed that they needed my SSN information to place on the paperwork as I was taking the vehicle and they had to wait on the payment from the credit union to overnight the check. I was informed that they would not run my credit. Not only did they try to low ball the appraisal, but you know they tried to run my credit. Thankfully I keep it frozen.
Next thing. The final paperwork comes back, and the numbers are different. After debating the numbers, they had to change and reproduce paperwork with those changes. Sending the bill of sale to my CU but not emailing them to me. Frustrated but paperwork signed, I await to move my stuff over from the old to the new. They had already moved all over my stuff and âplaced the old vehicle on the transport truckâ That was BS, but ok.
30 mins into my journey home, the dashboard lights up and the vehicle slows down to 55 mph. Pulling over I take pictures and videos of the issues and call the salesperson back. I am informed that the service department is closed, and I would have to bring it back tomorrow. Taking it back to the dealership, I express my concern that a new vehicle should not have these problems. I was informed that it was something simple and I could take a loner in the meantime. This simple thing took 6 days to address. The vehicle was treated as a new car purchase but as a regular service ticket. At no time was there any urgency given to determine what was wrong. I literally had to call them two times daily to get status from them, even speaking to the general manager was not effective. It wasnât till I sent two fiery emails to the owners, detailing my daily experiences with the dealership, that I received concerned responses from individuals at the dealership. Sadly, the fix was simple, replacing the battery and resetting the systems. That sounds like a day one thing. Not day 6. In conclusion, do not go to this dealership and expect good customer service and concern for the consumer. They do not know how to give it. It is all about them getting their money and they will go through any lengths to get it. Even running your credit, they arenât authorized to do so. Shady practices from a shady dealership.
Stay away...
Read moreI strongly advise anyone considering purchasing a vehicle from Dupage CDJR to look elsewhere, but if for some reason you insist on going there, street clear of Rose. Our recent appointment with Rose to view a specific Jeep was a complete and utter waste of time. We scheduled the appointment in advance, with the understanding that the vehicle would be ready for inspection upon our arrival.
Instead, we were met with unprofessionalism from the moment we walked in. Rose was casually playing on her phone, showing no urgency or interest in greeting us. When we walked to get and greeted her since she had no interest in getting us first, she finally started looking into things for the vehicle we were there to see, something that should have been done in anticipation of our arrival since we were told that the Jeep would be ready and waiting on us to get there. She informed us that the key for the vehicle we were there to see was missing. As we were sitting there she finally asked the service department to start "cutting" a new key, revealing (and proving) she hadn't even bothered to prepare the vehicle for our appointment.
When we finally went to view the Jeep, the experience went from bad to worse. The vehicle was no where close to what was advertised. It was riddled with major dents and damage, including a long, deep dent along the entire rear driver's side door, and multiple scratches and dents on the passenger side. Rose initially seemed dismissive of our concerns even trying to deny the debt that was clearly the existed, and then casually mentioned they might have a "dent guy" available.
Further dishonesty was revealed when she misrepresented how long the vehicle had been for sale, claiming 20 days when it has actually been closer to six weeks. When we returned to her desk, she abruptly, with no real explanation, left with other employees, leaving us there. Upon her return, she offered to "fix" the damage and deliver the vehicle after we paid for it and completed the paperwork â without us seeing the completed repairs first to assure satisfaction! This is not how reputable dealerships operate. When we expressed our disappointment with the misrepresented condition and the lack of preparation, Rose's response was dismissive and unhelpful. She even tried to blame our "early" arrival (our appointment time was between 930-10, we arrived at 9:38). Her attitude was consistently flippant and uninterested in our business.
Despite having other vehicles of potential interest at this dealership, we chose to leave now wanting to reward an uncaring, unprofessional sales person with a commission. The complete lack of customer service and the blatant attempt to sell a vehicle with so much unreported damage as was appalling. (Please note the damage was not fresh and wasn't in the pictures of the vehicle on their website either. I'm unsure if they edited the damage out or if the vehicle received the damage during the supposed 20 days on the lot.)
Thankfully, we found a superior vehicle with better features, a better price, and a genuinely helpful salesperson at another dealership.
Do not trust Dupage's listings. Inspect any vehicle thoroughly, as they will clearly attempt to hide damage and...

First experience: It's been a week since I purchased my new 2022 Jeep Compass Trailhawk from DuPage Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram. As soon as you walk in you are greeted with smiles and every one offers you water or snacks to make you feel right at home. Tyler Conway our sales rep was A M A Z I N G! (the legend!!!) He went above and beyond my expectations. He was so informative about each car I had an interest in. It's so hard to find people who are as passionate about their job as Tyler is. He worked with me and my boyfriend from 10 am to 8 pm. If that doesn't show dedication then I don't know what would. He made sure we were comfortable about our purchase and weight out all possible finance options with us before checking our credit. You won't find this type of service anywhere else. I am so happy we chose to come here. I was interested in a Jeep Wrangler and so stubborn with the decision. At this time it's not the best decision for me. Tyler did not put any pressure on me to make a sale. He ended up showing me a Compass Trailhawk 2022 and I felt so comfy inside and instantly fell in love. That would have not been possible without Tyler's patience and knowledge. He was absolutely wonderful to work with. To top it off you get to ring the bell after you finish your purchase which makes you feel so accomplished. Tyler has made our car shopping experience one of a kind. The team over at Dodge are incredible people. Julie our financer made everything simple, went over each warranty in detail and ensured us of the great warranty my new car came with. 100000/10 experience đ Everyone here is human that shows empathy and care for their customers. đ I now have a reliable car that I didn't think I would love as much as I do. I can't wait to go back and also share my experience with everyone else! Thank you again DuPage Chrysler Dodge...
