Wright's Food Center — Local services in Glenwood

Wright's has just about everything you coukd ask for in a grocery store that serves a small community but has an impressive menu of local, domestic and some imports like larger grocery chains, such as Walmart.

I've never had a recipe from any cookbook I've sampled over the last 10 years, stump Wright's food store. They always seem to have what I need, no matter, so far, hoe exotic or unheard of the ingredient may seem. Their prices are a tad higher than those around the Hot Springs area, but after figuring in the cost of gas spent traveling to and from hot springs, it even out quite nicely. Making this grocery store, IMO, convenient and fair enough that a 28 mile trip to HS isn't necessary to me.

They also have sales and coupon giveaways each week. Their cashiers are typically quite personable. They also have baggers that will help carry all of your groceries to your vehicle and will not raise a hand to ask, beg or demand a tip. Good selection- prices high but you are paying for the convenience- I'm fine with that. But double check your expiration dates- they are selling things with no warning (meat/ milk products especially) that are expired. I know technically my fault for not checking but every supermarket I have ever been to does not sell expired meat or has it listed on sale and the date. They did have some turkey on sale and listed the expiration date and it was 2 weeks expired- I'm not sure that is even legal. Also all these signs for sales but if you look at the actual sign it listed the same price as the original and said you saved 0 cents. Very misleading. I. So disappointed Im your store today. We have always loved the friendliness and kindness of your employees. Not today! A guy yelled at my grandson for asking where something was. He yelled we are out. Turned around and yelled at the air we are out. The deli lady while he was thinking of what he wanted said hurry up what do you want. I get that stress of the situation this country is in but no need to be rude to two young people shopping at your store because their grandmother said you all were so nice. True colors I guess or are you all just pleasant to old people and young couples can see how you are in real life. So not a good example. So...
