I rented a boat with my family, the experience was fun, 50$ for 2 hour it was 100% worth it, until we got back to pay, my mom signed the receipt and we were on our way back to the campsite, until I heard the lady repeatedly say, "so noo tip?" Or are you not going to leave a tip?, I went back and asked her "do you want a tip? She said yes so I asked her for the receipt to add it, and she said that they can't add tips to cards 😲 this was such an awkward moment, in my head I was like then why you repeatedly ask for a tip, and my boyfriend just came around with 10$ cash and gave it to them, such an awkward experience, I have never been asked for a tip so blentantly, except for when I accidentally got a massage at the wrong...
Read moreWe’ve been renting from Cachuma Boat Rentals for many years, and it’s been a tradition we’ve really enjoyed—until now. Unfortunately, this latest experience left us extremely disappointed. The same old pontoon boats they’ve had for years have doubled in price, and they’ve introduced newer boats that cost nearly three times as much.
What’s frustrating is that even the older boats—which are showing their age and still poorly maintained—now come at a premium. There was no meaningful upgrade in quality or service to justify the price increase. It feels like long-time customers are being priced out with no added value in return.

Read moreGot in line at the boat rental facility before 10 to rent kayaks. Waited in line approximately 35 minutes, we were third in line. Got to the window and were told that they only had 1 kayak left to rent. We asked how many kayaks were in their rental fleet and they said usually 3 but one was broken. So, 42 miles of shoreline and they have 2 kayaks for rent. Just a suggestion. It would avoid wasting time standing in line if you posted what was available to rent somewhere on the building before the rental counter. The line had grown to approximately 15 people before we were done. Hopefully none of them were anticipating...
