The food is HORRIBLE, they do not go out of their way to make it tasty, they need to add spices, and the people that work there need to actually enjoy working there. The workers from the taqueria seriously need to be friendly and to HURRY UP WITH THE FOOD, PEOPLE HAVE 45 MINUTES TO EAT LUNCH AND YOU SPEND 20 MINUTES WAITING FOR YOUR FOOD DURING LUNCH TIME, THEN BY THE TIME YOU GET BACK TO YOUR PLACE OF WORK YOU ONLY HAVE 5 MINUTES TO EAT. STOP TALKING AND PRETENDING YOUR BUSY, GET MORE PEOPLE TO HELP DURING THE LUNCH HOURS. this is how you loose customers.

Very expensive, you find cheaper prices for the same items everywhere else, that being said, its clean, has a lot of products and many things under one roof, and the workers on the floor and the meat Department are very friendly. Santa Fe is an answer to our prayers here in Gonzales. Their store is clean, organized, and well stocked. You can get almost anything you need. They have a bakery, a restaurant, a food take out section, and a clean and large meat section--fish, poultry, pork, beef, shrimp, chorizo, etc.The produce is fresh and neatly organized.

What makes this store extra special is its cultural relevance to this area. It has Mexican food (e.g. tamales, champurrado, tacos, burritos, etc) piñatas, spices, chiles, soft drinks, etc.

I must say I’m from Gonzales originally but now living in Salinas. So I’ve come home to moms twice in the last couple of months and been to Santa Fe both times to pick up prepared food for lunch and dinner and had excellent food service at the Taqueria very attentive and very good service by all three Alfredo, Karla and Briana in the taqueria.
