Central Park — Attraction in Gonzales

This is definitely one of the best parks in the county. It is clean. It is relaxing. It has many trees. It is safe and quiet.

What I especially love about this place is the BBQ grills they have. Gonzales is the only city in which I have seen that has multiple Santa Maria style Grills that has hand cranks that can raise and lower the grill grates for heat control

There are plenty of grills and tables to accommodate plenty of families.

This is a the perfect place to host a family celebration, read a book, walk your dog, exercise, or relax.

My husband and I went for a drive on his birthday.

We drove through Chualar Canyon Road. We saw the most beautiful land, ranch houses, trees and mountains.

It seemed as if we were in another world. There wasn't anything related to the City of Salinas.

We got to the end of the road and there's literally a big sign that says End of County Road.

Grassy park with a basketball court and some play equipment. Lights are up in a lot of the trees in December. A few families walked around with young children. There were a lot of teens out doing totally appropriate teen things like playing basketball, playing hand- held games at a bench, etc....
