Worst experience, worst customer service, poor business ethics. I would give negative stars if I could. As I was on my way to consultation appointment, I noticed how bad the traffic was on I-10 so I called the salon and let them know I might be a few minutes late, I was told they would need to reschedule me then, I stated ok but I'm not late just possible and the associate hung up on me. I called back and explained again and was told stylist's next appointment arrived early so I would need to be rescheduled. I wanted hair done that coming week so associate stated stylist could see me later that same day, I said I lived super far away and was not sure I would be able to make it by that time, the associate stated she would put me down anyway so the spot was available, I explained since I live far away I would call to cancel as soon as I knew I would not be able to make it. This run around showed me how little I mattered. I asked to meet with a stylist that specialized in my hair type which is super fine wavy/straight dark hair. The stylist I was scheduled with specializes in thick curly hair so, not my hair at all. You would think that would be the end of it, but sadly no, I called to cancel an hour before my rescheduled time. After reviewing all stylists in the salon I came across one that did specialize in my hair type and attempted to schedule a full service color and cut with him, but was told that since I missed 2 appointments in a row I would need to pay a $50 deposit to be allowed to schedule, I was flabbergasted, I couldn't believe what I was hearing. Not only because I did not miss 2 appointments, since one it was not my fault the stylists next client arrived early I was on my way and not late. The other reason is because I was told the $50 deposit was part of this salon's policy, but if it is where is it listed, its not on their website, its not posted in the salon, its not on the price list, stylists instagram page or business cards, its not on their yelp page or on Vagaro page, no where, when I asked this I got no response and this is the main reason this salon does not deserve my business because I am stickler for business ethics and this salon doesn't know what ethics, integrity or honesty is. Since I was scheduled with a stylist that specialized in a completely different hair type than mine I did not take from myself, my hair type and what I wanted for cut and color, I needed to go somewhere more edgy and this place is not it, try Blush they have great edgy stylists and hours that work with...
Read moreDo not waste your money!! Thairapy was always an amazing experience for me but this has me in a stupor. The girl doing the installation/move up for my extensions was so sweet, her application was great but the problem is the tape and the poor quality of the products used. I have had extensions for over 3 years (tape ins, I-tips, microbeads) and NEVER experienced this. I have been to salons across the United States while serving in the military, never once have I had such terrible customer service following such a mishap. Upon getting the move up for my tape ins the girl had stated that Thairapy’s tape is the best I will ever use and lasts months. At week 2 I had lost several pieces of hair. The picture shows all of the hair lost excluding about 4 other pieces at a friend’s house. It is around week 8, when a move up is needed. That does not entail the hair actually FALLING out while simply brushing it, only that it should be moved up every 6-8 weeks. I typically get a move up every 8-10 as that is consistently normal for myself. I’ve pushed 12 weeks at times and never had a single piece fall out. I take amazing care of my extensions, wash my hair 4 times a month, no heat and rarely use products. There is absolutely NO reason the copious amounts of hair in the picture should be falling out. I have paid over $400 for this installation and despite being very polite to the front desk, I am informed that no action will be taken, no refunds will be made, no fix will come from this. This is the saddest excuse for customer service I have ever seen. I have been out of town for business and a wedding and had to attend with half a head of hair, it is truly a terrible experience from this salon. If I had been in town and not across the country I would have gladly come in at the sight of seeing one piece fall out but because I was unable to do that, it is now zero accountability on behalf of this salon. The front desk was extremely rude and cut me before proceeding to hang up afterwards. I will no longer go to this excuse for a business. I am left with strands for hair. Gladly, the women I know on base will stop continuing service as well. RIP to the patrons who genuinely once...
Read moreHad an appointment with cori a few months back for a cut and balayage in preparation for my graduation ceremony. Cori was courteous and offered drinks, etc. to make me comfortable when I arrived. My issue was that the experience cost almost $500, which I was willing to pay for the pre-grad splurge, but she didn't even do balayage and charged for that anyway. I think she was basically afraid that she couldn't lift my hair evenly since I've been doing dark root touch-ups for a couple years, so she decided to do A TON of foil highlights instead? The end result was more of a foil highlight look starting at the roots, which just isn't what I was going for. The color was as lifted as I expected it to be, it just was in an all over highlight style rather than balayage. I was just surprised that she decided to give me something different than what I asked for basically because she wasn't confident in her ability to lift my color and deliver what I was asking for, but then just charged me the $375 or so as if she'd delivered the balayage I'd asked for. I'll also note, this was the first time I'd seen cori, so I'm guessing she just didn't want to do anything too drastic, but she basically just did a super minimal trim for my cut and that was also $75+. I'm from California and even by CA standards these prices are just crazy high for what I asked for let alone what I received. Cori also said she's only been doing hair for a couple years so I can't even rationalize the cost is commensurate with experience level at this salon. I won't be returning,...
