I was really excited to finally get my tongue pierced, but unfortunately, my experience at Desert Diamondz was disappointing and left me wishing I had gone somewhere else. I walked in without an appointment and was helped fairly quickly, which initially seemed convenient. However, the process raised a few red flags.

The piercer never gave me a mirror to check the placement of the mark before piercing, nor did she show me the piercing afterward—she just said it “looked nice” and began cleaning up. What really caught me off guard was when she offered me a discount only if I left her a review on Google. She then took my phone and left a 5-star review for herself under all her services—completely unprofessional.

I was charged $100, even though her website clearly states the tongue piercing is $70. I decided not to make a fuss at the time because I was just happy to finally have the piercing. But a few weeks later, it didn’t feel right—the bar felt way too small and started to sink into my tongue. I messaged her on Instagram for help. At first she responded, but when I tried to follow up, she completely stopped replying.

I ended up going to another piercer for a second opinion, and they immediately told me the bar was way too short—so short it wouldn’t even be used for an eyebrow piercing. They also pointed out that the placement was incorrect.

I take accountability for making an impulsive decision, but I’m writing this review to warn others. This place clearly prioritizes profit over safety and professionalism. I got my septum pierced here a few days ago and to start, the website says all face piercings are $50, the total came out to $90 (before tip) and there’s no way this little hoop is worth $40, even then, as for the piercing itself it is placed extremely low. practically hanging on by a thread at the end of my nose :( I will unfortunately be going somewhere else to get it professionally removed asap as i tried removing it myself but im scared to tear the tiny piece of skin it’s hanging onto.
