July 5th, Still no refund of the 8000.00. No phone call from the dealership, and no proof of ceramic coating or interior protection. I did receive a letter from the atty general. They will be contacting the dealership. Now we will get somewhere.
June 26, 2024 We signed a cancellation form for 8000.00 dollars worth of add onās on May 13, 2024. I spoke with Mike on June 15. He informed me that the dealership has no control over refunds. They just submit them. I called assurant today. I spoke with a manager. He told me that the refund comes from the dealership and has been available since the first of June. So Iām paying 12 percent interest on 8000 that the dealership has been in control of for almost a month. I filed a complaint with the Atty general today. I was not told that the car had ceramic coating and interior protection already on it when we purchased the vehicle. It is not on the sticker, and I was charged 2499.00 for it. I was also not told that the flashing turn signals for 499.00 is not an option, but not included in the sticker price of the car. I asked for proof of ceramic coating. I havenāt been given any. I have all of this in text messages from Mike. While signing papers you switch from signing documents you can read, to signing on a little screen like you do at the bank when you withdraw money. I assume thatās where you get charged for all the add onās you donāt want, and donāt get told about. Disclaimer: talking to a customer that is test driving a car about the add onās is not the same as being forth write and honest about additional charges. Business is done at the desk, not while test driving. I was preapproved for a loan when I came in there that day. I was told by Zach that Hyundai financing gave us a better rate at 12 percent then our credit union. I spoke with the loan officer this week and was told my rate with Interra was 8.4. I am now refinancing. I think you guys should be held responsible for the 150.00 fee involved with that.
Added June 5, 2024 Paris Dickinson, I missed 2 phone calls from the dealership. One on Friday and one Saturday. No message was left either time. I was busy with the sunburst race in southbend. I called Monday and left a message on the general voicemail box. No return calls. Today I called and asked to be transferred to your phone. The voicemail still says the wrong name. I have no way of knowing if you will receive my message or not. If you are truly concerned about our experience then you can call me any day after 1:00 pm. Please take a moment and change the voicemail your customers are transferred to when they ask to speak to the general manager. It will save a lot of confusion.
First I want to say I love my Palisade. My experience buying it, leaves a lot to be desired. I am told that the manufacturer sends the vehicles with items on them not included in the list price. I have asked for proof that the items have indeed been put on my car, now no one will respond to me. I called the GM left voice mail, however the name was not the same as the person I am told is the general manager. No return call. During the paper signing party, there is documents you sign on a kiosk, like you do at a bank when you withdraw money. You canāt read them until they are signed. Seems like shady business to me. No response from Zach, Mike or Paris, confirms...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreFrom reading other reviews it appears I'm not the only one who had a truly negative experience at Hyundai of Goshen. If you're broke down in the middle of Indiana and have no other choice like I did, just have it towed the the next closest repair shop.
The service department showed no effort to get my Palisade repaired in a timely fashion. My Palisade sat in the lot for over a week while parts were shipped to another dealer 90 minutes away, with Goshen not even attempting to go out of their way to get the parts for my repair. I could've picked up the parts and transported them to Goshen in hours - instead they waited five days for the next shipment.
Even though my Palisade was within the warranty period, Goshen refused to process my defective caliper through my warranty, claiming it was "damaged", even though they had no idea how or why. It became clear that Goshen, and by extension Hyundai, don't care about their customers and won't honor their warranty, even when it's appropriate.
As I tried to get answers for why my repairs took over a week and understand why they wouldn't process my defective parts through the warranty, the Service Manager took no accountability - repeat - no accountability for Goshen's failures and lack of effort. The best analysis they had for why my part wasn't covered under warranty was - "we don't know how and you don't know how". I paid my bill already so they had no reason to help or put in any effort. This is consistent with the no effort for the 8 days they had my Palisade.
I feel for you if you have no choice but to use Goshen Hyundai. If you have a choice, avoid this dealership. They won't put in the effort or attempt to take care of you or your vehicle.
Update: Even after the owner commenting how they would look into the matter - I have not received any other communication, just as I predicted. I paid my bill and they could care less that they don't honor the warranty or even provide satisfactory customer service. Don't be fooled because the owner "forwarded to...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI have got to be honest and say this was about the worst treatment I have received from a dealership. As a bit of background info on me as a potential lease or buyer, I have an 840 credit score and money/vehicle to trade or put towards a purchase. I called a few weeks ago because Hyundai is running a special on the Kona base model for $119/mo lease with a down payment and that would work great for my current needs. The sales rep, John, is who I spoke with both times. The first time I called him he said he didn't have a base but an SEL and it would be about $170/ monthly with taxes and fees but they would likely be having upcoming deals or sales, so Memorial Day is coming up and I decided to check back or see if they could do better than the $170 because that is rarely bottom dollar, so I call today and they still had the SEL but now he tells me that it will be about $190/ monthly and that they won't be having any sales and that his boss is not willing to have anything to do with the Hyundai deal even if they got a base model in. He then explained with 'man math' why the price was higher on the same vehicle and when I expressed my unhappiness about his incorrect expectations and misinformation and the apparently very poor attitude from his boss regarding the unwillingness to honor the actual Hyundai listed deal or work with me at all, he was less than concerned or interested in making anything happen.
I will never understand businesses that set false expectations and play games and treat people like they are trash, and I'm someone with a great credit history etc so I would feel truly bad for anyone with a more difficult situation.
If you have read all of this, do yourself a favor and pass on this dealer as they have no actual interest in standing by their brand and doing right by customers.
Also as an edit, John said there were no base models available within 250 miles and there were 71... if I'm able to share photos of the site and search to show...
