At the counter to make my purchase, the older lady checking me out asked if I would like a receipt. My reply was “If you don’t mind, yes that would be great“. She has the nerve to reply back: “I do mind, but I’ll do it anyways”. I have never been treated with such a rude crassness, especially in Texas, and for no apparent reason. I was raised in the south with manners and taught to be polite, especially in a business setting.
Whoever owns this place would do well to remind that rude old lady of the fact that she’s working in a state park gift store. Maybe she would be better employed at a place like Dick‘s Last Resort.

But no way to tell they are there the algae and high water maybe filling them in. Summertime might be a better time to visit to see the tracks. Needs a bit more help in sign/map guidance, kind of vague on map, maybe a picture sign on the trail with highlighted parts exactly where a footprint is, or a sign on trail saying if your heading in the...
