Dinosaur Valley State Park Store — Local services in Granbury

At the counter to make my purchase, the older lady checking me out asked if I would like a receipt. My reply was “If you don’t mind, yes that would be great“. She has the nerve to reply back: “I do mind, but I’ll do it anyways”. I have never been treated with such a rude crassness, especially in Texas, and for no apparent reason. I was raised in the south with manners and taught to be polite, especially in a business setting.

Whoever owns this place would do well to remind that rude old lady of the fact that she’s working in a state park gift store. Maybe she would be better employed at a place like Dick‘s Last Resort.

Wish I would have learned a bit more about the trails before coming to the park today. With my mom and two kids in company, I really had to stop and consider things like length of hikes and difficulty of trails before venturing off. It's been YEARS since Mom or myself have been here, and this attraction is mostly a hiking experience. We weren't exactly expecting that, but it was beautiful! Nice park lots of hiking and nice views, could not find obvious dino tracks, sings might point to a section where they are. But no way to tell they are there the algae and high water maybe filling them in. Summertime might be a better time to visit to see the tracks. Needs a bit more help in sign/map guidance, kind of vague on map, maybe a picture sign on the trail with highlighted parts exactly where a footprint is, or a sign on trail saying if your heading in the...
