Before Everyday IGA and Van's IGA, I shopped at this IGA location just can't remember their name.
I've been shopping at this IGA location at 25th Street and 6th Ave North since 1974. Walmart is a problem for local store owners yet it's allowed.
Everyday IGA should sell more IGA cereals and other IGA products. Walmart does not want me around and I rather not get in a long line and wait up to 20 minutes to buy groceries.
Since I posted this review over a year ago, Everyday IGA has stopped selling IGA cerial and many other IGA products. It better not be because of me! I miss IGA sauercraut and IGA cereals. Even IGA tomato's.
Superone foods is another alternate to Walmart. Albertsons is a better rival.
Shopping at Everyday IGA has been more positive than not. Walmart is the problem!
Smaller grocery stores need to find ways to compete. I don't know why Everyday IGA won't sell only IGA products which are cheaper.
IGA means Independent Grocers Alliance. IGA stores are owned privately which means IGA store owners can sell as much or as little IGA products as they want.
Walmart is owned by the Walmart Family. They are among the wealthiest people on Earth.
I rather shop at Everyday IGA yet on many occasions I'm forced to shop at other stores.
You have to look carefully for IGA products yet you'll find them. They're cheaper and good. It be nice if Everyday IGA sells more IGA products.
Standing in a long line at Walmart for 15 to 20 minutes really agitates me. I'm on medication that causes dizziness which makes shopping difficult. I also have cataracts and dry eyes....
Read moreI used to live in gf & whatever grocery store that was closest to me OR convenient was where I chose to shop for groceries. I've always felt very Neutral or 50/50 about the employees here. The fresh produce salsa was THE MAIN REASON why I came here or when I visited and the fried gizzards at the deli. My preferred grocery stores were "Super 1" "Albertsons on 10th Ave" OR Smith's which was one of me & my BF'S favorites even though it was further away, also because of Barnes & Noble and other store options. The last time I came to shop here at Everyday IGA while visiting which was definitely a year ago I REMEMBER talking to one of the Male Produce Workers , But at the same time noticing him watching 👀 me while shopping as if he thought i was up to something!!! around the produce area & another aisle nearby......Kinda honestly off-putting and frustrating at the same time!!! AND yes I am a person of color. Overall besides that it's not that bad.....but I never did any major grocery shopping hauls here, maybe for a short period when I USED to live close by. Again I choose whatever is convenient most...
Read moreOne of the staff accused me of trying to steal. I was just minding my business and this lady walks up to me and says, "are you going to pay for those." while i was browsing at candles, honestly, the most embarrassing thing that's ever happened to me. I responded with, "yeah..." and she goes, "Just making sure." The worst thing is she didn't even apologize for humiliating me in front of the other shoppers and staff. She didn't even give an explanation as to why she thought i was stealing. It's not right for someone to assume the worst without any evidence or proof. it's even worse to then publicly shame them for an unjustified accusation. I just bought my items and left. i just can't believe how unbelievable rude and inappropriate this staff member was even now as i sit at home. this whole situation could have. been avoided had she just approached the situation more carefully and maybe asked if I needed assistance before jumping to conclusions. I hope the store takes my example as feedback then takes steps to improve the way its staff interacts with customers...
