Dollar General — Local services in Green Lake Township

Almost always has what I need when I go in there. Makes it easy to just run in and grab and go. I would give 5 stars if the aisles were wider and/or free of boxes and other clutter. With boxes and stock being all over the aisles and can be difficult to maneuver around the store with a shopping cart when you need more than an arm load of items. Most stores have friendly and helpful employees. I would, however, steer clear of the Frankfort, Michigan store as it is one of the messiest stores I have been in and it is a very new store so this is a bit disheartening. Employees were great, the manager refused to accept my return that I had a receipt for - a purchase I had made earlier that day and she was the cashier who checked me out, saying it is store policy that you must give your phone number to do all returns. I gave her my receipt, my drivers license, but put my foot down on my phone number and asked to see a copy of the policy, she got angry & rude and said they didn't have a copy posted anywhere or in the store, but that it was online at their website. I went online on my phone, read the policy, no where did it require a phone number, I asked her to show the policy to me that stated that and she not only refused but threatened to ban me from the store for...

When i walked up everyone was outside smoking. I walked in and there were 2 people in line at the register waiting. I went and grabbed what i needed and went to the register. The guy was rude. No greeting or anything. He rang my stuff up and i cracked a joke thinking maybe he is having a bad day. He rolled his eyes at me. Said my total so i handed him a 10 and a nickel. He yanked the 10 out of my hand and the nickel went flying. Instead of searching i just grabbed another one. He handed me my change and didn't even spin the bag thing so i could grab my stuff.
