Dollar General — Local services in Green

Let’s talk about customer service shall we…?! Roughly 10 minutes before the store closed on 10/4/22 my husband said he had a bad toothache so… at 9:50 pm I did what any loving wife would do for the family. You run to the store to try to help them. I pull into the dollar general on s Main Street in Akron Ohio. As I was walking up to the door DANA quickly reached over to lock the doors. I stil jd about 7 minutes to shop. So I knocked on the door and said Um aren’t you guys open til 10? She said with a ful blown attitude SERIOUSLY. I said yes SERIOUSLY. I rushed through, grabbed the items I need in less than 1 minute. The girl that rang me up was wonderful. However… DANA stood behind the registers with her arms crossed. Shook her head as I was being rang up. I asked for her name she said DANA then spelled out her last name really slow like I was stupid or something. The store was completely dirty. Needed to be cleaned up. Things put away, dusted, light bulbs changed. How she had time to stand around I don’t know. As I left she slammed the door. Locked it. Looked at me shook her head and walked to the register. Wow. Where does this store find their employees? Very rude, unprofessional, Disrespectful, I could go on and on. Anyways I will not be shopped there again. It’s pretty sad that I can’t go to dollar general for something fast for my family because they are so shamefully rude there. ...

I stopped by this evening and had the worst experience just checking out. There was another lady also waiting to check out, and eventually a third. I was using self checkout because there was not an employee in sight, but it wasn’t ringing up the discount. The first customer had been waiting before I even came up. By now the third customer was in line. An employee was walking around and past us all, clearly saw us waiting but was having a very personal conversation on her cellphone and continues past us and out to her car. Okay, maybe she’s on break whatever so we’re trying to figure out how to get an employee to notice us all waiting. Eventually she comes up and customer one says to please help myself first and then her. Employee doesn’t know how so she says let me get the manager. The manager was the employee who ignored us all and went to her car. Eventually she comes in and rudely fixes it while on her personal call. Will not be going back and I seriously doubt the other customers...

Pretty much brand new and already disgusting. I was in line holding alot and the cashier just kept talking and talking and talking to another customer. No respect that I was waiting. I said excuse me, and put my stuff down on the counter. She then looks at me and says im rude. EXCUSE ME?? This is a business, not your kitchen where you just chat all day. Thats what you do on your own time. I left my stuff sit there and left and went to another store. HOPEFULLY you thought about your disrespectful MOUTH when you were putting my stuff back. I hope it sucked doing it too. I will never.... ever... come to this nasty disaster of a store and your employees are very disrespectful. I wish I could give 0 stars because this store doesnt...
