Woodys — Restaurant in Green

Went in Sat.4-2-16 @7:15 a.m. ordered decaf coffee, had to wait while they made a pot....really at a breakfast joint on a Sat.morning after they had been open for over an hour, fair enough at least it was fresh.I then ordered the hash brown omlette with a cup of sausage gravy then waited....and waited.....and waited.read the entire Sat.Beacon Journal (there were only about 5 tables occupied).When my food came the toast was stone cold and dry ,the omlette seemed good so I spooned some gravy onto it and began to eat....I then realized the gravy was stone cold...I don't mean room temp. cold , I mean right outta the fridge cold....gross ,thanks for serving me LEFTOVERS !!! now my omlette has gross cold gravy on it alongside cold dry toast. I told my waitress about it and she took the gravy back and MICROWAVED it and brought it back,gee thanks. long wait, cold gross leftovers ,poor customer service.never going back...Bye-Bye Woodys. This is a hard one cause it's in my neighborhood. Woody's has been there for over 20 years that I can remember. But some advice for them JUST DO BREAKFAST why are you attempting dish's like spaghetti and burgers, unless you are going to put both hands in DONT DO IT. My wife had the breakfast and it looked and smells good. She said the coffee wasn't fresh and didn't taste well and that's a deal breaker in most places that you eat breakfast. It the better coffee Woody's you are not talking much Moore then what you are currently spending on that generic restaurant Depot brand. Cadillac makes a great coffee it's also local out of Brunswick. Even Sysco makes a good coffee. Update the place a little, a little spent on decor goes a long way with the right touch. I recently moved to Akron and wanted a “mom and pop” type place for breakfast because they always have the best breakfast. Woody’s did not disappoint! When we arrived shortly after nine it was PACKED! Not one open table. We waited for maybe 10 minutes and that shocked me because of how packed it was. All of the staff were incredibly friendly. The service was prompt and the food was AMAZING 🤩 I got your basic eggs, bacon, and hash brown plate and my boyfriend got “the terminator” it was opened biscuits with hash browns, eggs made the way you want, sausage patty’s, topped with sausage gravy. It was all very delicious 😋 From arrival to departure we were here for an hour and that was very impressive for how busy it was! Breakfast was half the price of your big named places too!
