The Ramp — Restaurant in Green

First time visit on a Saturday. Called ahead to get patio seating, however they do not accept reservations. Showed up about 5:40. The place is clean and inviting. Lots of nautical decor and feel. A large patio with bar is off the back and faces the water. There was a 50 minute + wait for patio seating. so we opted for inside dining. They had the tables spaced and we felt comfortable. We were seated quickly, and it took about 10 minutes for our waitress to come by and introduce herself, and take our drink order. our Drinks arrived, and we waited another 15-20 min. for her to come back to take our food order. Then the real wait began. Almost 1 hour later our food arrived. Room temperature salad, stale french fries, fish that had been out for a while. My salmon Salad was eatable. Not huge portions, and i had the full serving. This would have been a small plate at any other place. We shared the Calamari, and all i have to say about that is at least it wasn't rubbery. It was Previously Frozen and just thrown on a plate with a Sweet dipping sauce. probably microwaved. Wife had the Salmon and Risotto. Salmon was OK, , just warm. the Risotto was pasty, no flavor, and you could cut with a knife. Daughters Perch Dinner was Rubber and no flavor at all. the Breading was soft and mushy, and uneatable. Grandson loved the chicken fingers. after waiting another 30 minutes to talk to the waitress about the food issues, and get our check, manager came by and they did remove the Perch dinner as it was almost untouched. So, i would say if your in the mood for a beer and burger, maybe chicken fingers or wings, and sandwich, give it a shot. otherwise, maybe give them a few months to work out the kinks. We decided to try this place for my daughter's birthday last night because I'd heard it was a nice place. We wanted to sit outside n the patio, but because there was eight of us, they said they could only seat six at the available table. They put us in a big corner booth and we sat 20 minutesand numerous servers walked past us without even acknowledging our presence. We thought about just walking out when finally a waitress from outside came over and asked if anyone took our drink orders. We said no and she said she would even though she wasn't supposed to be our server. One member of our party ordered a pina colada, but was served a Key lime martini. My grandson ordered a root beer and got ice tea. After a long time, she brought her a pina colada that was so terrible ,she couldn't drink it. We finally after another 30 minutes ordered our food and my daughter and I ordered clam chowder . The server brought us both bean soup. Again we had to find her and ask for the right soup. We finally got our food and my daughter was supposed to get the Lobster Mac and Cheese and the server brought a side of regular Mac and cheese. The food was pretty good once we got it, but did not make up for the terrible experience we had! I was so disappointed because this was supposed to be a special dinner and we spent alot of money and it was terrible! At no time did a manager come over and ask us how our dinner was. We will NEVER come back to this restaurant again. I've never has a worse experience dining out before like this night...

Was there last night our waitress kept apologizing for the poor poor poor service very nice place looking from the street great atmosphere from the time we walked in the door we were talked to very rudely and The hostess wouldn’t even look us in the eye at that point I should’ve known we were told 20 minutes for seating we didn’t even know that there was a bar we have never been here before after 10 minutes we found out on our own that it was a bar we sat at the bar and waited for our table which took 40 minutes we sat outside for almost 3 hours there were four of us As we were waiting for our food for over two hours and 30 minutes we noticed tables around us were complaining of poor service horrible food it’s amazing that somebody would dump that much money into a beautiful place and get poor service like this I’ve read more of other peoples posting and there’s so much negativity I should’ve read before I even went there it was my first time there and my last the steaks were horrible Our server kept apologizing I felt so bad for her we still tipped her great it was not her fault it takes years and years to build a clientele and just minutes to lose it I recommend nobody ever going there I’ve owned my own company for 31 years and I hope I never treated anyone like that ever there’s a lot of negativity going on there and A ton of work to fix it good luck...
