I did order at an open outdoor window in person a pinacolada, a strawberry mango for my child and 2 shots of wheatgrass. Estimated time told 10 minutes, After waiting for a second time on the line to pickup my order I reach 20 minutes of waiting and they didn't even start doing my order, I think the real issue here is tipping. When I did ordered in the front of me was only one person who got his order. I like to tip based on service and I don't tip blind ahead of the service being provided. I do think that the employee see that I did not tip ahead and ignore my order based on this. When I did wait the second time to pickup my order I see 2 families with children already have received their orders and they didn't even were there when I placed my order. They have to call the manager in order to received my money back. Manager was nice and told me that I am the next online and they can make my order now, If I knew a small order like mine will take more than 20 minutes I will absolutely not wait for it, you can cook a steak in a restaurant in 20 minutes and serve it. I find acceptable to wait 5-10 minutes for a smoothie, and I will absolutely not wait more than 10 minutes and go somewhere else. I do not like to be at the hand of employee which make preferentially orders based on tipping before servicing. I do like immigrant people and try to be nice to them, except when they try to treat me as in their third world country here in USA. Wake up people, love it or live it, treat your customers with respect first in first out. You will always get a tip from me just do your job professionally. I do feel that having to wait for a smoothie in the high heat of Florida for more than 20 min it was not worthy. For me this place is no no, no next time. There are some good deals on produce and very nice and fast cashiers, I wish the three employees working at the smoothie place to be as nice as the cashiers. Owner please step in and solve your problem before going out of hand. If I was the owner I will watch them, even put a camera to see how they work and treat customers. Wish...
Read moreI've been a loyal costumer of Rorabeck's for many years (20+) and I have recommended this place to anyone I could. Today 3/5/25 I had the worse experienced possible. I was accused of stealing grapes from the cashier. I understand the importance of loss prevention especially now days were the economy is not doing so great but staff needs to be trained to handle this situation better. I grabbed a bucket of grapes just filled by a lady (she was filling as I grabbed) and when I took it to the cashier (young man/ Latino descent/ bilingual) as he looked at them with the worse attitude told me "there is no way that is a bucket". I have no need of stealing $2 grapes so I told him to go check I had nothing to hide. He came back with a smug look on his face and just said "I changed them". Along with him came a lady who I saw filling the buckets when I grabbed them and started packaging my groceries. I kept the grapes he gave me and paid but told him he had no right accusing me of something I didn't do, he ignored me. I was so annoyed by his attitude that I did something I normally don't I asked to speak to the manager and the lady said she was the manager (I know she is not) so I asked to speak to the owner (she said he died). She apologized and said the ladies filling the baskets are new and didn't know better. How is that my fault?. There is many ways of treating customers and this is not one of them. I was very offended and insulted and was honestly not happy as to the way the staff handled this. You need to train your staff to treat customers better as their job...
Read moreThis is our main place for buying vegetables, herbs, fruit and eggs.
Throughout the years they have put a lot of work in remodeling and expanding the place, they greatly improved it by adding more refrigeration, and they are continuously upgrading. They have also expanded their selection of products: now you can also find different sauces, breads, rice, etc. - even cheeses and meats!
Their prices are the lowest you can find around here, not to talk about their amazing special offers! 2-3 full bags of products may cost you just over $20, which always give me such a great feeling. Regarding the eggs: you can definitely find cheaper ones, but the price of the ones supplied by local farms totally matches their quality. Once you try them, it will be difficult to go back to the “commercial” ones: in fact, we would rather eat fewer eggs but keep buying their local ones.
If you are not familiar with any produce (they have a lot of “exotic” ones) do not hesitate to ask their staff: they are always glad to help you. And if you want to ask something but you’re already home, just send them a message: they are very active on social media, where they list their offers, and promptly respond at any time of the day!!
The only “complaint” I have about this place is that they also sell plants and beautiful garden’s ornaments and vases, so my shopping there is never quick: I “must” always check out their new arrivals and… I don’t even have a yard…
We’re really lucky to live not too...
