I do not recommend Pepper Moon.

I just went to a wedding a Southern Cs in Summerfield and they have an exclusive contract to put on the events there - not just the food. Pepper Moon botched on many fronts. RUDE the florists, several guests and Wedding Party's clean-up team all found them rude. So did the wedding party. MODIFIED CONTRACT TO SUIT THEM They unilaterally decreased the number of full bars from two to one. And gave the lame excuse of we do not have enough tables. The wedding party found some tables so Pepper Moon could do as they promised. (I believe they charge per guest per hour - how convenient for them to drop the number of full bars by half). ASSISTANCE FOR THOSE WITH LIMITED MOBILITY It had been arranged that there would be a golf cart to shuttle those that needed assistance with walking to the pavilion. Guests arrived - no cart. I had to ask 6 PM staffers for help before someone could call the cart. The cart driver drove past someone in a wheelchair and had to be halted. RUDE (WORTH EMPHASIZING) The staff was snappy and really needs to learn to wear smiles and graciously lead Guests to tables. I dont think any staffer wanted to be working, and people commented phrases like " It'sTIME for an attitude adjustment." POORLY EXECUTED They just don't know how to make an event click. There was only one buffet table so getting food was SLOW! it would have made so much more sense to have two, double-sided buffet tables. I think a classy touch is to have the VIP tables go first (wedding party, grooms and brides parents). They missed this touch of class. AFTER CONFIRMING 2 FULL BARS, THEY LIED! While confirmation had been received that the TWO FULL bars would be set up after schlepping (sp?) the extra tables to the venue, it was discovered they did not, they were going to do it their way. One bar was full and the other was just beer and wine! It was immediately brought to their attention. They pushed back and finally conceded. They were loud and rude in their resistance. It took over an hour for them to rectify the situation. They were flippant and said they would get to it. All they needed to do was carry half the hard liquor from one corner to another corner. NOT REAL BRIGHT (PUN INTENDED) At the end of the festivities it was time to light sparklers to send bride and groom down a path to their happily ever after. Literally, the staffer started walking down the walkway, lighting one sparkler at a time with a lighter in the breeze. The bride and groom were forced to stop after a few steps Finally, it was suggested that with 70 or so guests, it is best to light a lot of sparklers and intersperse them among the lines of guests so guests can light from each others sparklers. She refused to take an efficient idea, but the guests just ignored her lighter method. FOOD AND FOOD SERVICE - B MINUS The food was OK, YUCK the lettuce was wilted. The guests had to bring tables, they did not honor contract of 2 FULL BARS. If that is not enough about the food - THEY SHUT DOWN EARLY! SUMMARY They know they have an exclusive contract and a captive audience. THEY DO NOT CARE they are bringing down Seven Cs reputation and eroding the brand equity of this beautiful venue.​

DO NOT USE Pepper Moon - RUDE, MEDIOCRE FOOD, THEY DID NOT GIVE CLIENT WHAT THEY PAID FOR.

Below - their response assumes the couple did not notice the issues AND the bride and groom were the only ones that count. The couple did notice and apologized to guests for PM's rudeness - so did the parents of the couple. Also -"the parents of the couple felt quite responsible for guests - guests from 20 states were there. Pepper moon- you need to consider every guest, and you need to also consider the other vendors who reported that you were rude. Pepper Moon was hands-down one of the best decisions we made for our wedding. From start to finish, they were professional, thoughtful, and completely in tune with what we wanted, even when things had to change.

Bethann was an absolute dream to work with. When we ran into some last-minute space constraints at our venue, she came through with creative solutions that kept everything running smoothly without sacrificing quality or vision. Her calm presence and problem-solving skills were invaluable.

And the food? Unforgettable. Our guests are still raving about the creamy risotto served at dinner and the grilled cheese and tomato soup appetizers during cocktail hour — they were comfort food perfection with a gourmet twist. On top of that, the custom cocktails named after our dogs were such a personal, fun touch that made the evening even more special.

The bartenders were fantastic, and every member of the staff was courteous, professional, and on-point. At so many weddings, the food can be forgettable but thanks to Pepper Moon, it became one of the absolute highlights of our celebration.

Service was outstanding- coordinator and servers went above and beyond to help make our wedding day perfect- even helped with some music issues and problems with the cake (from a different vendor) that had nothing to do with catering! Servers were great- made sure my husband and I were served first, and brought the plates to us at the sweetheart table so we didn’t have to go to the buffet. Food was okay, hard to judge it when I hardly ate and they set up so early as to not disrupt our ceremony, which was located in the same room as the reception. I’m sure if they would have been able to set up closer to service time the quality would have been even better. Plenty of food leftover which were offered to us to take home. Linens were just what I wanted, and the whole process was seamless. Communication was great, very responsive and they were willing to give me multiple estimates, options, and updates. Highly recommend Pepper Moon if you are on a budget but still don’t want to stress about food...
