I returned to Hello Gorgeous after communicating with the owner about my first experience. She listened intently and provided the service I initially went in for. Walked out very pleased and proceeded to schedule out my next 3 appointments with a few extra add-ons! Thanks Laura!

*First time customer. Scheduled a shampoo/cut/style service. I have an undercut and just needed a fade and shaping of the rest of my medium length, wavy hair (particularly around my face). I guess the regular stylists are not in on Saturday (?) so I took a chance on the person I was scheduled with online. It's cute and quaint but I was a little disappointed at how messy the establishment was (considering it's an Aveda salon; which was reason #1 for booking). Long story short; I'm gonna have to go to a barber for a proper cleanup of my undercut. I came home and checked in the mirror and it was patchy in the back. I also ended up shaping my hair around my face myself even further. The stylist never even combed my hair after the wash nor did she style upon completion of the cut. She sat me under the dryer after the wash while she was doing a treatment on another person. She was nice and all but 🤷‍♀️ ... I was expecting more considering the brand and the 4+...

I scheduled an appointment at 3:30 with the stylist Makayla for a dry haircut and add on eyebrow wax. I told her what I wanted from my references, which I have attached. I told her I was trying to grow my sides and the back out longer as I wanted more volume. She told me she couldn't do designs, and I said that's alright. I just wanted a shape up. Ultimately, she was rushing through the entirety of my appointment. From the time I sat down, she was rushing through everything. She said that as I kept coming back that we would progressively get longer with each pass, which was strike number one. She then took her razor to the back where I told her I really didn't want anything taken off, just to be shaped by the followed line she said she saw. She disregarded it and went ahead and shaved the year and a half worth of growth off my scalp. It was uncomfortable as she was still rushing through but I dismissed it because I trusted her. After the 10 minute haircut, I sat down for an eyebrow wax, I will say it was an okay experience, but she left my eyebrows lop-sided. Didn't offer to pluck or anything. I go to Makayla at hello gorgeous! She is amazing! She is so sweet and caring. She is also so easy to talk to about anything it doesn’t even have to be hair related. She is also super careful with allergies! I have a peanut, tree nut, and coconut allergy and a lot of hair products contain oils of those items and she always lets me check the ingredients of the products before she uses them in my hair. She also always does a great job whether it’s dye or cut and style. Also all the other staff there are also very friendly and the building is so clean and well kept and they sell amazing products it always smells so...
