Came up with the idea of wanting to play a nice course at least once in every state and me and the golf crew decided to add South Carolina to the list of states we've played in. We picked this course based on its distance to where we live in GA and the reviews and website. The course and staff there did not disappoint. From calling and booking four tee times, to checking in, to instructions on how to approach each hole to just an overall atmosphere of being welcomed to the course was under par (using under par instead of above par since we're referring to a golf course). Occasionally, you play a course, and the green fees are not justified by the course conditions and in my opinion, I feel like this was not one of them. 7 of us played an 8 and an 8:10 back to back, stopped for lunch, and then played a replay at 1 and 1:10. Played 36 holes of golf on a great course for reasonable green fees with a group of guys who do nothing but crack jokes. What more can a golf addict ask for. We drove 2 hours there and 2 hours back and I put it on my list to go back anytime I have time for the drive or if staying in the area. The only thing that I wished they had that some of the nicer course have was free range balls but I get it, make your money.

Course is lovely to play and was worth the visit. I booked a hotel and rang the clubhouse as I could lnt book online. Scott took care of me and made sure I had a tee time booked. I arrived the next day and the guy in the clubhouse checked me in. Got my rentals and everything was great. I headed up to the tee box to take in the views ten minutes before my tee time. This is where the Marshall then came over and started asking me what the hell I was doing? I said I’m waiting for my 3.20 tee time. He treated me like a child and spoke to me like dirt. It ruined the whole round me and honestly just wanted to leave. I played with a member who was awesome and told me this wasn’t normal. The same Marshall ignored the member on several occasions. I asked the Marshall if the other 2 ball wasn’t on time do we have to wait. He told I’ll wait until he’s ready. There was no one in front and no one the tee. Very jumped up little man ruined the whole day. Shame as everyone else was really kind

Very nice course, although I was very disappointed with one thing. I came at 3:30 in the afternoon and paid for 18 holes. I was up against a time constraint and had to leave by 6:30. Unfortunately, play was slow and there was no ranger to enforce pace of play. I figured since I only played 9 holes they would oblige and give me a rain check to come back (I assume they want returning golfers) the next evening and finish. Although the gentleman was nice in the clubhouse, he told me that because I had paid a twilight rate of $25 I could not get a rain check. I didnt argue, but Golf Now anvertises a 9 hole and an 18 hole rate at that time. I paid the 18 hole rate. I was really looking forward to playing the other 9 holes as it is a nice course. Unfortunately, because I dislike this policy as it is not very customer friendly, and I doubt I will return. Letting me play 9 holes the next evening would have gone a long way in keeping a golfer.

Played here Sunday late afternoon. May have been the slowest round of my life, but great course. Greens are in great shape, fairways are mostly good, and a good challenging track.

I don't expect weekends to be fast, I generally play a weekend afternoon round every week, but this was crazy.

Tee'd off at 3:10, wrapped up 18 around 8p. Absolutely no pace of play enforcement or any notion of playing through. Got behind a 4-ball that lost at least two holes to the group in front of them and took forever. Multiple 5+ minute searches for balls. And Lord forbid one player gets ready for his shot while another is hitting. Nope. Watch your buddy take 5 practice swings and duff his ball 20 yards. Then walk to the cart, grab a club, go through your 5min pre-shot routine before shanking your ball into the woods. Unbelievable.

A real shame, because the course is great. The greens are fantastic, and the staff are friendly. I'd play here every week if I knew I could get around in 4 hours, but likely won't play here...
