Pros: -Location! This is maybe my favorite location of any coffee shop in Greenville. Plenty of parking, easy access with a stroller, park across the street, not overly crowded etc. -Size of shop. Fairly big and plenty of seating! -Serve Methodical-I think? or Bridge City? This was a bit hard to tell because they sell both bags. Either way, those are my two favorite roasters in Greenville, so huge points there. We didn't see anything prominently stating which roaster they were using. My husband asked what was on drip and the barista wasn't sure which roaster it was from. Personally, we think that should be marketed because both have a huge following! -Staff was really friendly albeit pretty green. -Drinks were delicious.
Cons: -I know not everyone goes to a coffeeshop for food, but I do! The first time I went on a Saturday I noticed that they had crepes. We didn't have time to eat that day, so came back on Sunday at 1:00 PM. We were then told that they don't do crepes on Sundays because they stop making them at 1:00 PM. Totally fair- thought then that should be specified somewhere on their menu or website. We went back the next Saturday around 8:15 specifically to get breakfast. We were told that they don't do crepes until 9:00 AM....they also had zero pastries. I asked when those were coming and she said that it should be soon. We watched cronuts arrive soon after that only to sit on the counter in containers they arrived in until we ended up leaving close to 9:00 AM. To be fair, they probably would have grabbed me one if I had asked, but seems so weird that food wouldn't be available when the shop actually opens? This shop isn't super close to us, so pretty frustrating that we went twice to try food and was disappointed both times. Really crossing fingers that I get to try their food someday. I have looked all over their website and insta and can't find anything regarding specific times anything is available. -Would also highly recommend having all drinks listed on their menu even if just seasonal. Tried one of their refreshers, which was great, but only knew about it because of insta. It wasn't anywhere on their menu (at least the day we went). Overall, it's just pretty obvious that it's a newer shop...which is totally fine! We will be back again with hopes for a...
Read moreI used to really love this place. It's across from the park, the interior is so cute, they have unique items for sale, and a great variety of drinks and baked goods. Thr first few times I went in I was greeted by friendly and enthusiastic employees who seemed eager to interact and discuss the different wares and offerings. The past few times I've been in however, the employee I've interacted with seems annoyed that I'm there, unresponsive, unwilling to interact, and overall annoyed. I can understand this if it was occasional, everyone has bad days, but it seems to be consistent now. During my visit today, I came in with my 3 year old, we were excited to be there and looking forward to our perspective treats. The employee we encountered didn't smile, she barely spoke, and was very off-putting. I felt scared to even ask questions or take too long to order my drink, she seemed so irritated that we were even there. I ordered a coffee and bought a cookie for my child. We sat at the bar waiting for my coffee, which was to go, but there was no one else around, it was just us at the bar. We shared the cookie and commented on all the pretty decor. The coffee took a while, while several employees started conversing, but I didn't mind as the atmosphere is pleasant and we were enjoying the treat. I saw her finish my drink, but instead of handing it directly to me, as we sat right on front of where she was working, she plopped it down at the other end of the bar, and then crossed her arms and stared at us. I felt so unwelcome, we immediately got up, went to the opposite end of the bar to get my drink and left. No thank you, no acknowledgement. I think that will be our last visit. I don't appreciate spending money, as well as tipping, only to be treated as an...
Read moreWhat you see is a caramel cappuccino, I believe. They go easy on the caramel flavoring, at least for my tastes, so if you trying to go crazy you gotta ask. They actually serve the coffee at drinking temperatures you so can go at it right away.
This place looks snazzy af. The interior looks great, is comfortable, and is kept clean. They're very business but the baristas there get the job done and get the orders out quick. They have an assortment of good looking pastries which come in a gluten-free varietal, which is sold-out given the locale and its clientele. This is definitely a place where mac users can accumulate to pretend they're getting actual journalistic work or something done and seem professional while doing so.
I don't think you should actually be trying to get work done here unless you enjoy the loud white noise of affluent mayosapien-based conversations, but you do you. This also honestly has the highest concentration of Asians I've seen outside of Greenville's specialty Asian districts/events, like Costco or Trader Joe's.
If you work out in the area/are thirsty near Legacy Park, you can also get you water from here. They've a sink with glass cups you can use if you...
