We had to change motels and had to kill about five hours on a limited budget. Beautiful homes with manicured lawns, sports cars, and no police hunting for prey will be found in this area. The type of people here have never had to worry about having food on their plate or a place to stay.....all those stressors can be thrown away while your here.

This park is located just two miles from the I85 & 385 interchange. Two miles and you are in a beautiful neighborhood and park. You can walk your dog, play volleyball or even eat at a high class bistro type restaurant with live music across the street. You can walk the surrounding neighborhood easily on the extra wide sidewalks available. There are restrooms and plenty of people around. One of the few places the pandemic has not touched so far. Our motel was another two miles and of course there's people living in the woods, lots of homelessness due to evictions and daily interaction with LE due to circumstances out of our control. Nothing like going out to pick my wife up at the hospital and the parking lot full of police cars and then being treated like a piece of dirt on their shoes. I love when they ask what I'm doing out so late.....

As a veteran speaking, it's none of your business if I was free.... this is not freedom,...

I read online that this park was made to imitate New York's central park. An oasis in the middle of a busy place. As someone who moved here from NYC 4 years ago, I was intrigued.

Set very close to Woodruff and Haywood roads, I had no idea that this beautiful escape was hiding in the middle of the busyness of the world, similar to Central Park.

Plenty of sun and shade, water features and rolling hills, beautiful paths and places to sit and relax. Such a wonderful place to just take a break. Watch the sky, the fountains, feel the breeze and the sun, see people of all ages (and their canine friends) enjoy what the park has to offer.

I must admit that I only saw a small corner of the park. I set up in my camp chair under some trees at one end of the park. But I was utterly amazed. What a great place to spend a...

The park is massive and open. There is a play area for the little children separate from the bigger kids. There is multiple shaded and covered areas as well as a pavilion with tables bathrooms and water fountains. They have a sandy area with a volleyball setup. There is a very nice and clean water fountain area to look at as well as huge areas of grass to have a picnic or a game with the family or run your dog around without ever being in anyone else's way. It is well maintained and clean. I recommend here for a day to get out and play. The potential is limitless here for...
