Uptown Market — Local services in Greenwood

Visited this past weekend for a Fall Craft Show. It was rainy, misty, pouring, dry and then it started all over again. Vendors had a difficult time keeping their items from getting wet because the rain would come in at angle from all sides. The pavilion has a high ceiling which is gorgeous but it doesn't provide much protection from the sun or the rain.

Despite all that, this is a nice little venue to hold events. Their bathrooms are contained in a nice brick building so you don't have to use a port-a-potty. Bathrooms also had plenty of toilet paper and soap, were well maintained, sinks with clean running water, and were handicap accessible.

The Uptown Market brings in local farmers and local chefs offering fresh foods. We go every week. There are packaged meals from Grits and Groceries, fresh eggs from Putney Farms, and everything under the sun from the garden from Parisi Farms. Happy Critters brings in fresh sausage, eggs, bacon and pasture raised pork. Other vendors come in as the season progresses. In the summer months there is a splash pad that many children enjoy.
