Someone else described this as a mini SC State Museum and that's a very apt description! The main floor is like a 1900's town street, with a movie theater, train station, dress shop, blacksmith and more. It's a great place for kids to play dress up or with the wooden train set. Upstairs has an art gallery, a geology display complete with a "mine shaft", indigenous artifacts, and a natural history (taxidermied animals) section. Downstairs is more local industry history - did you know robotic arms were made here?? And in the entrance right as you walk in is a changing display, currently about local historically black universities.

Read moreGreat place to learn about Greenwood's history. Great place to bring the Younglings. They even have a separate room where younglings can play with a train set. And also a dinosaur exhibit where younglings can go through a maze and dig up dinosaur bones. A lot has changed in the 30 years that I've known that museum not as many exhibits as there as there used to be and the basement is no longer open. I look forward to see them expand more of the exhibits...
