Butte County Fairgrounds — Local services in Gridley

VENDORS STAY AWAY FROM THIS FAIR!!!! Paid $400 to rent a booth as a vendor. Paid extra for indoor booth so we could stay out of the 100 plus degree weather. Where the booths are inside was hotter than outside. Patrons complained about how it was hotter inside than it was outside!!! The venue would not waive the booth fee. Every vendor should avoid this fair!!! The sponsors lounge is in same building but somehow they had air conditioning the entire fair, and we didn't. None of the vendors I talked to want to do this fair EVER AGAIN!!! That includes several vendors that are from Gridley!!! All of them and I tried contacting the main office. Somehow after the first day on Thursday it was literally impossible to contact anyone in the main office. Super easy until...

Very good county fair for 2024. Its more of a locals fair that was far better than the silver dollar in Chico. the pig races, great pony rides and the standard 4h,FFA animals were great. My 3 year old loved the petting area. Crowds were small early saturday , corndogs from the vendor from Redding were fantastic. Also snagged a kids fair hat, she loved it. Sportsman’s show was a little comical however, anything but that but they cant force vendors to come I guess. Great little county fair. Only thing I wish local farmers did was set up some kind of local ag expo or something to showcase local production of...

My family and I had a great experience with a few hiccups. The price to enter, wasn't too high, like other fair's. The food needs work, you expect "fair" food so that's what you should get, but it was Just thrown together..some of the game vendors were very manipulative..you play the game expecting a certain prize cause that's what they said in a round about way and you end up not getting that prize and end up having to walk away with a crying child. We liked the size of it, it had animals, rides, games etc. all wrapped up in a small little bow. We would go again, but defiantly would NOT deal with those...
