Where do I begin? DO NOT BOOK YOUR EVENT HERE! My family hosted a wedding here at Kiwanis. The venue was booked on a Saturday from 8am to 11:59pm and paid extra to COUNTY/CITY OFFICERS to stay late to keep everyone safe. It was about 100 people, probably less. A DJ and a live band were booked for this special day, and as most know, these are expensive luxuries. So is a venue space. Upon booking the venue it was told to the bride and groom that live music was allowed. Almost immediately we were informed the music was too loud. We were told this several times. We complied and lowered the volume when asked EVERY TIME. Not ideal for your special day but it is what it is. On top of this there were 3 employees of Kiwanis standing in the corner for a majority of the event watching us as if we were doing something wrong. (SEE PHOTOS ATTACHED) They also helped themselves to food and dessert. Rude, but we aren't so whatever. They wanted any excuse to end our family event. When all is said in done they are now keeping a $500 deposit because ONE of the restrooms was left dirty. Also pictured in this review are photos we took after we spent HOURS cleaning the venue.
