This is a MONDAY ONLY FLEA MKT..not open other days as a flea MKT. I used to go to Websters a lot but moved out of state. It used to be so crowded and took all day to get to everything. I understand its summer the snow birds flee the heat. I went yesterday and it was nearly empty when I got there at 7:30 by the time I left around 10:45 after filling my trunk with vintage items I love..the place was booming. Its still better than most flea mkts even in summer off season! I go to flea mkts 3-4 a week all over Fla for the used vintage/antique items which they had few in grass area (FEW) Whereas that area used to be full every time I came but usually winter..the rows named by colors were about half full of vendors in the back selling the good stuff. The front rows sell the chines junk..t shirts..grocery surplus stuff and fresh produce..
I enjoyed it pushing a 6 month old in stroller and dragging a cart behind me..I found the vendors were friendly all accommodated my baby watched her so I could shop their boothes. Now I live back in Fla Ive made Webster one of my favorite stops again. Its summer it slacks off but its still better than most flea mkts! They had plenty of new junk but plenty of stuff I was looking for... Vintage stuff..its worth the trip!
People who give it a bad rating clearly aren't real flea MKT shoppers..its still one...
Read moreIf you're going to go for the wholesale side...get there Very early and bring lots of cash. You'll need it cuz you're going to spend it. Lol. Unfortunately the retail side, under cover, is more or less the same as the wholesale side at retail price. There are a few different vendors there that do original works, but not many. See pics. Others are rip offs, just pay attention. Lots of Chinese junk.
But for the most part I recommend it. Wear comfortable walking shoes and if summer wear loose fitting cooler clothes. You will need them.
Now the other side is full of older stuff, good deals and just about anything you might be looking for. There is outside ares that people bring tables and set up with their stuff or just lay it on the ground. That's where I like going. Great deals to be found. Odd stuff too. The covered area over here is more flea market than the retail side. You never know what will be found over here. On the retail side it is almost always the same.
Love this entire market... recommend it to everyone. Heck they even rent scooters...
Read moreIf flea markets are your thing, then this is right up your alley. If you have a certain item in mind, it may be difficult to find OR you might find a TON within all price ranges. We went with no idea what to expect or with any particular item in mind and ended up having a good time. We also ended up walking out with a few items to take home.
If crowds or noise or large places packed with things freak you out, this probably isn't the place for you. There is a $2 parking charge and it's first come, first served. Once inside the market there are covered areas and uncovered areas featuring the selling of everything under the sun. We saw antiques and collectibles, tin signs, fiestaware, pet care and clothing items, guns and knives, glassware, electronics, vintage items, toys, handmade and hand carved items, crafts, and food. It is certainly a feast for eyes, ears, and tummy.
Webster Westside Flea Market is only open on Mondays so plan accordingly if you want to see the largest flea market...
