I hadn’t been to Webster Flea Market in over 20 years, and my first visit back earlier this year in February brought back so many memories. There were so many vendors to browse, great energy all around, and we were even able to grab a bite to eat and relax after walking for hours—it truly felt like old times!

Unfortunately, today’s visit (July) told a different story. I arrived around 8:45 AM, and the market was noticeably scarce. Some vendors were still setting up, but overall, it lacked the vibrant hustle and bustle I remembered. It definitely feels like things are on the decline.

While my favorite pecan vendor wasn’t there this time, I was still able to pick up the remaining items I came for. I know times have changed, and that may be impacting the market, but I sincerely hope things turn around. This place holds a lot of history and charm—prayerfully, it'll...

This review is of the Sumter county Market which is located I believe in the town of Webster. There are two or three different flea market type markets operated within what appears to be the same or two different parking lots. It's slightly unorganized because there are people spread out all over the place some are wholesale only some are retail only some vendors are literally not even speaking English and that's fine however of the three languages I speak fluently some people don't even speak those so it's slightly difficult in a few of the stalls. Parking is also slightly odd in that within 200 ft you can pay $0 $2 or $3 for parking and you're not really sure what parking lot is for which area and who's to trust slightly...

I’ve always sent my calves here , the last time one calf in the same weight class and condition one paid $1,311 the other paid $297 ? Called and checked and they stated it had a hurt back when it went through. I sent 14 and we’re uniform and in great condition! After 4- phone calls they agreed to pay up for the calf ? When I received a check it was for $600 — still shorted me over$300 , I was talking to a much bigger farmer and he showed me 8 market tags he had and had 1-2 shorted on each of his tickets. I advised him to check into it . That’s a lot of money adding up all the shorted ones . The market has cameras and can check your animals all the way through to locate the problem.
