Greetings all who read this! I am excited to write this review for Dan and his team as they start this venture in Brazilian Jui Jitsu. I have known Dan for three years now and going. I met him while looking for a place to train while I was on TDY at Keesler AFB. True to BJJ fashion, he welcomed me on the mats and got me sweating. So, let's look at what you will be getting from this awesome crew that I know. Dan is a class act and always looking to train and be challenged. He is always looking for a way to improve his art and pass that knowledge onto his students. As iron sharpens iron so one person sharpens another. A testament to Dans character is willingness to reach out to me and correct me in my skills. I know for a fact that if I fly in tomorrow, he will tap me out with a smile on his face. That’s one of the coolest parts of bjj, those ties you build with the people you meet. Roger Maddox is a bear on the mats. I was introduced to him by Dan when I trained with him. Roger is focused on his skills and techniques, always learning, always sharpening. He competes a lot, and his medals speak volumes to his skills. I have never been afraid to reach out and ask him questions even now when I am 10hrs away. Training isn’t just a matter of mats but of mind. I look forward to seeing where he goes in the future. What will you get? Self-defense or the sports of BJJ. Which is your goal? These instructors will get you there. I do not compete and they never treated my training any less because of it. If you want to sweat, lose weight, train for defense, etc, talk with them and they will help you reach your goal. So don’t be shy, knock on their door, and start your adventure. Till the next time we meet on...
Read moreI just recently moved back to the Coast. I REALLY wanted to love this gym and thought it would be my go to place. Just not how it worked out! I came from a no AC warehouse "meathead" style gym so first impression seemed like a perfect fit. My first workout was an absolute disaster bc all of the machines I tried to use were so rusted and not maintained so I couldn't adjust anything to fit my size. I kept going and really tried to like the place and give it a fair shot but my next big issue is the resident gym cat they have living there. I'm not a cat fan at all. This cat lays on the machines and hinders you from using anything close to where it is by jumping from one machine to the next while hissing at you. Not to mention the cat hair it leaves behind. Just not inviting or sanitary at all. Needless to say I'm aggravated I signed a year contract because that money is going straight down...
Read moreI was in town for a few weeks on a business trip. Took a quick online search to locate possible gyms and stumbled upon this one. Only 25 bucks for 14 days/24 hour access! Awesome. The gym opens the doors during the day and the equipment is awesome. There’s also a gym cat named Titan which is pretty cool as well, love animals. Don’t let some of the old equipment fool you, try the machines out that you aren’t familiar with and get a better lift than you’ve had in months. 10/10 recommend and thank you to the staff for the two week pass and awesome gym. Much appreciated. There’s equipment and cardio to fit any style of lifters requirements (bodybuilding, CrossFit, power lifting, cardio, compound lifts, isometric machines for each muscle group,...
