Anytime Fitness — Local services in Guymon

While this gym does check off alot of boxes for me it does miss in a few key areas. 1:Plates. Where have all the weights gone? There's barely enough plates to keep the bench press busy if someone is performing heavy leg presses on the Incline leg press. Did somebody walk out the door with most of the 45's in their gym bag? This gym definitely needs a larger assortment of various plates. 2: Machine maintenance. I noticed that another review mentions that the smith machine needs to be oiled or greased. Unfortunately that's not the only thing it needs. The linear bearings on the vertical guide rods of the weight carriage NEED to be replaced, they're worn out. While not directly a safety hazard, what is happening is that the ball bearings that allow the weight carriage to move vertically have seized up within their housing. This is causing the balls of the bearings to score and wear grooves into the hardened surface of the vertical guide rods. These bearings can be ordered from the machine manufacturer and replaced by someone with average mechanical ability, snap ring pliers, a large socket and large rubber deadblow or brass hammer. I'll make an attempt to contact the gym manager/owner about this. I travel full time for work and see much potential in this gym for a bit...

This gym and its entire management and ownership is not even a joke at this point.

They had decent management that finally fixed it for a few weeks before firing the Regonal manager and running off the GM and sent this location back to the shadow relm over their Hereford Texas location that should have been located in our town long beforehand.

This rundown gym continues to be squeezed like a sponge with no care to this area or its loyal members by the corporate ownership.

As a former manager I am going to warn you... don't sign up here... don't even walk in here to use the toilet.

Because it doesn't even work.

Hence it being a steaming pile...

I began my gym membership last year and when I did I asked them if they auto renewed the service, they said no. I asked again two months before my service ended and they said no. The month after my service was suppose to have ended I went to return my key fob and was told their policy is to auto renew all accounts.

They didn't call and say they were doing it and again I was told numerous times they wouldn't. These are underhanded methods to cheat people out of their money.

The facilities themselves are adequate but not worth the hassle. Also on top of charging you a monthly fee they charge a bi-annual fee for "equipment maintenance". I would suggest...
