KOAN Cannabis — Local services in Halfway

My tire blew at 3AM, sadly I was still here by the time the store opened up at 9AM, and all the way up until currently, it's 5:20PM now. I just wanted to say that everyone made me feel so welcome and they went out of their way to try and help me. I did not catch everyones names, but I specifically wanted to thank Megan and another young man as they went above and beyond to try and help. It restored my faith in humanity. Everyone was so hospitable, and kind. After finally getting my situation resolved, I decided to check out the place & I grabbed myself some much needed pre-rolls, especially after my long and stressful night.. it was well over-due. There was a sweet girl with black & blonde short hair who welcomed me inside, and helped me tour through the place. She was lovely and made it very clear and simple on what to do, since it was my first time EVER buying from any dispensary. I tried to log my account onto the plaid app - unfortunately the Dasher crimson accounts are not on there yet - so with that being my only complaint, I had to use my card at the register and got charged 2 ATM fees for doing so. However, Chris was very cool, and bagged my items wonderfully and even blessed me with a cute little coin to grab a beer from a brewing company they also run across the street a little ways away. I would say that my experience was perfect. I didn't feel uncomfortable or like I was bothering anyone with my presence. If anything, they were genuinely concerned about how long my family & I were stuck out there. As a new cannabis user, I couldn’t have asked for a better introduction than KOAN Dispensary. The staff was incredibly welcoming and took the time to explain everything in a way that was easy to understand and never overwhelming. I felt completely at ease asking questions, and they really listened to what I was looking for.

Their products are clearly labeled and thoughtfully organized, which made navigating as a first-timer much less intimidating. I especially appreciated their focus on wellness and the different effects each product offers — it made choosing the right option so much easier.

KOAN isn’t just a dispensary — it’s a supportive, educational, and judgment-free space for anyone curious about cannabis. I’ll definitely be coming back!

Excellent new dispensary in the Hagerstown area. The atmosphere is nice, with product visible and friendly accessible staff. Today Nick availed himself very well as we dealt with a small series of technical glitches. While that was being worked on I observed the rest of the employees/transactions going on and frankly I liked what I saw. The staff from the font door/ID check to the budtenders and through to the manager who had to step out for a tech issue were friendly, engaged, and just seemed to give a damn. That makes a huge difference. Everyone in there was getting excellent service.

The product is going to be the same you can get anywhere else, the deals rotate, weed is weed and all ya know. I'm gonna keep going to Koan because the atmosphere and staff make it the kind of place I want to get...
