Waffle House — Restaurant in Maryland

Let me first say, " I am not local to this Waffle House and am usually on a 3-6 hr drive while making it a point to stop here" My experiences have been wonderful as on several occasions since 2013 driving from Manchester Md, to Cumberland Md and back. my buddy and I have stopped here to eat and have enjoyed kind, mannerly and very friendly service from all the wait staff. Having experienced many years of human interaction ranging from dangerous driving, rudeness, whiny and selfish people of all ages 8-88, I made it a point to the 2 servers who treated us friendly and almost like family that despite their young ages (20's) that THOUGHTFUL manner is how even much older people should treat others. I LOVE THIS WAFFLE HOUSE so much I once made my girlfriend (Waffle House newbie) ride an extra 30 minutes farther from Frederick then back to Manchester just to see why I love it so much. Ashley, the waitress who always treats my buddy and me to exceptional service did not disappoint and was very friendly to my girlfriend and me. A year later we once again found ourselves in Hagerstown and despite a snowstorm, we stopped in to enjoy a nice meal. ...

Subject: Complaint Regarding Poor Service at Waffle House

Dear Waffle House Management,

I am writing to express my disappointment with the service I received at your location. My girlfriend and I visited the restaurant with the intention of having a meal, but unfortunately, we were left waiting for approximately 25 minutes without any acknowledgment from the staff. Servers walked past us multiple times, made eye contact, but did not offer any assistance. I couldn't help but feel discriminated against in this situation.

During this time, I also observed that the servers were standing near the grill, chatting and laughing among themselves, while another guest was also left waiting without being attended to.

As a customer, I expect to be treated with respect and courtesy, and this experience was deeply disappointing for both me and my girlfriend. I hope that you will take this matter seriously and address it with your staff to prevent this from happening to others in the future.

The food was good, as usual. Waffle house has always had a consistent taste, but what I am rating is the customer service. We arrived, and they weren't too busy, and they had 3 cooks, and 4 servers, so they looked to be staffed perfectly fine. I ordered an all star breakfast, hasbrown bowl, ham egg& cheese sandwich, and a waffle with chocolate chips. Whole we were waiting I asked for 2 coffees, for my wife and I. I'd like to add that the waiter was not rude, or unpleasant. We first received our creamers.. waited about 10min and then she gave us our coffees, while bagging our food. At that point we were wondering what was the point of giving us the coffee's we should've just taken them to go. Anywho, we proceed to drink our coffees, and head out. Once we got home we noticed that the waffle from the all star breakfast was missing. All in all, I don't see myself returning here anytime soon.
