Oishi Sushi & Hibachi — Restaurant in Maryland

The young gentlemen at the front was so friendly and helpful, answering all my questions with a smile seeing as though I'm new to obtaining the pallet for sushi! My boyfriend wasn't big on the Crab Rangoon but I didn't think it was bad. Ive had a bad time with Calamari in hagerstown and really enjoyed theirs with the sweet sauce it came with! He got the teriyaki bento box and felt the chicken was a bit dry but we were both happy with the sushi! Both getting the California roll and I tried the Philly. The Tea was also a bit off tasting. I do wish I had known of the specials before hand, I think he would of loved the Maryland Roll (old bay fanatic) & the Jalepeno Bomb sounded oh so good. But, they seem to be "year round specials" and they WERE displayed brightly above the ordering counter so, its my fault for not noticing. We'll definitely be back...

First time in the restaurant a couple of weeks ago I was so impressed and happy with the service and food.

Today I placed a $74 order for pick up and the shrimp tempura was bad so we had to throw it out. When I told the manager she said it’s fried and she’s never heard of that PLUS she gave me the lunch price for the bento box when she should have charged me the dinner price. I guess I’m to be grateful for the price cut and then throwing out $8.00 for the tempura as she wanted to know what I wanted her to do?? So aggravating! I was so happy to find this place and recommended to friends that have been there and love it too, but now due to the bad service today—- no more If you have to ask what should be done, you shouldn’t...

They get a 1 because negative stars wasn't an option. Walked in asked if Dine-in was ok.. The 2 employees looked annoyed to even have customers. She pointed we went and sat 5 minutes later she is still standing behind the counter 7 minutes still Nothing at this point the 5 of us got up and walked out I told her as we walked out if you didn't want customers you should have just told us we could have left and not bothered them. She didn't even say a word. Don't waste your time here. The tables next to us were in need of bussing and the staff needed training. What a wasted trip.
