Almost everyone at this hospital is fantastic, they deserve a 5 star. That Dr that came from Methodist rates 0. I heard her being rude and condescending to the nurses for 15 minutes about how they've been charting wrong since 2018 and that's not how it's done at Methodist. She came in, looking obviously irritated, and spoke to me just prior to that in the same short, rude manner. Cut me off repeatedly as I tried to explain my medical history. Told her I have autonomic dysfunction, and she asked if I've had ANA blood test and I said no. She questioned my other diagnoses that came from specialists who went to school way longer she did and have multiple subspecialties. Then she went to berate the sweet nurses before coming back to tell me I have anxiety. I told her I was sent by my PCP to get EKG and troponin checked and I don't care about anything you have to say other than those tests results. I gave her the same nasty attitude she gave everybody else and won't lie about that. And she just kept on, well I've given many patients with tachycardia Ativan blah blah blah. I just said mmhmmm repeatedly and I have specialists for that. And she finally left me alone. I saw her notes in my chart today and she said I stated I have autoimmune disease. No I said autonomic dysfunction but this MD doesn't know the difference or her mind was occupied with wanting to display her authority to the rest of the staff. I'll be up there next week to get the form to change my health record so it's accurate and I've let my family know that if I'm unconscious, can't see, can't speak, or can't stand they are to drive me to hospital in Austin. Just wanted to end with this again, the nurses, registrar, phlebotomist, X-ray tech were all phenomenal. Might wanna rethink having this Dr on board unless y'all wanna be the next rural...

If you have an option to go elsewhere... RUN... The only good thing I have to say about this place is that it was clean when I arrived. Oh yeah, the lady working at the front(Brooke) was nice and greeted us with a smile. But as for MELISSA😒(who wouldn't provide me with her last name, because she knew she wasn't right, and I wanted to report her...) she wasn't the friendliest - her attitude was not a good fit for her role and she lacked empathy. My husband was seen in the ER yesterday & had great service from the front desk staff, nurses, med techs, & Dr.Robert Sanders who was a flight surgeon from NASA. He & his nurse Melissa Davis RN coordinated with his Dr. at Methodist Clear Lake to get him transferred to the ICU there. Lavaca County Ambulance transferred him safely to Methodist Clear Lake & the Paramedic Chris Rameriz called me to let me know they arrived safely. Marty Kiel was the other EMT who drive the ambulance. I truly appreciate all these people who made a stressful situation much easier. My husband is doing well today & will be transfered out of ICU today to the floor....
