Wow, what a great example of ruining a nice place. The worst thing the Mortons did was sell the diner. The current owner has cut so many corners, it isn't worth stopping for a meal anymore. They do still make some things from scratch, but then want to charge you $10 for a low quality frozen burger patty, piece of American cheese and bun? $2 for an ice tea?Yeah right. The pricing on their sides is atrocious too. None of the items are worth anywhere near what they charge. Sad part is the current operator couldn't care less. Locals only eat here cause of a lack of other establishments but they won't put up with the downslide in quality for long. If traveling through H-ville, try literally any other restaurant. Stopped here because it looked cute and we needed lunch. we waited more than 30 minutes for s hamburger and fries (my family already had their fries and a Reuben) and when I asked the runner she said the burgers coming. so I waited again. I had to go to the counter 5 more minutes later and they said it's coming the grill something something (mumbled) and so I when I did get the burger it was a preformed frozen patty, not seasoned. Great local stop that we frequent often. It's always clean, the food at Diane's Dinner inside is always yummy. I tend to make a breakfast stop in the morning to grab a breakfast biscuit it taco from their warmer. They keep it fresh from the diner. They also keep a good fresh fruit selection ready to grab at any time. If you're traveling they have a very large area in the back to had up RVs it trucks with trailers.
