Won't be coming back to Mr. Motorcycle anymore. I have been there a few times and have always felt welcome and appreciated...until today. I needed a new mirror, but since I have a unique set up I have to disassemble the mirror before I mount it. It has a 600rr mounting bracket and an f4i post and mirror. The f4i mounting bracket is unusable on an rr. It causes the post to point straight forward and the mirror to reflect almost 90° from the post, rendering it completely useless and looking ridiculous. Well, the manager dropped my bolt along with the washers that I needed to be able to install the new mirror. He picked them up and was missing a washer. I pointed this out, and he said "you don't need it" I said, "yes I do", he argued a moment then came outside and pointed out how the holes on the bracket line up....completely ignoring the fact that the brackets connect with the post at completely different angles. I tried repeatedly to point it out to him, and he huffed and puffed and said, "fine, whatever dude, I'll go get your washer...do it Your way" After a moment he came back, hands me the part, and I said, "look man, you're obviously frustrated, but if you will come out and look at what the mirror will actually look like mounting it like you suggest, you will quickly see how it won't work and you will understand my logic", he said "no, that's fine. I need to take this call anyway and picked up the phone as if to completely ignore me. Firstly, mr motorcycle, your way IS IMPOSSIBLE TO FUNCTION....I know because I've tried it! 2nd, yes, get my #%+@ing washer like I asked....don't complain about replacing a part you lost! 3rdly, if your going to get all pissed off at me and not even listen to WHY I need to do it the way I do, then why would I ever want to visit your shop again? Completely unprofessional and uncalled for. Next time I need a part, guess where I won't be going. And guess who wont be telling his large group of friends where to go if they need a part...way to be a complete jerk...
Read moreIf you are looking for the MOST HONEST and hardworking motorcycle shop in DFW, these guys are your answer. I brought in my 1982 Suzuki GS650L knowing that it would be a bit of a hassle to get back on the road. It had been sitting for about a year since it's last ride due to carburetor issues, electrical issues, and just an overall lack of knowledge on my end of being able to fix it. These guys went above and beyond to help get me back on the road. They were honest and more than fair with their prices and were willing to help me along the way when things popped up. There was no BS, no run around, no attitude (except a good one), and no one told me it wasn't worth my time or to buy a new bike like I had heard from so many other shops. Please support this business as the level of honesty and fairness that the men who run this shop have is so very hard to find these days. I will be bringing my bike back every time I need ANYTHING until I either leave DFW or they close their doors.
PS: they have over 1 MILLION parts IN HOUSE so you won't have to wait for parts to be shipped, a lot of the time, nor will you have to deal with huge markups on...
Read moreAVOID like the plague! I took an almost mint Yamaha Raider with about 1,000 miles to them that I got out of a storage auction so that I could get a new battery, all lines flushed and all all around check up so that I could guarantee all these things prior to listing it for sale. I was told it would be done within a day, two at most. I called each of the first two days and they told me they were waiting on their "tool supplier" to bring a "special" tool to remove the fuel filter and it was suppose to arrive that day or the next. After a few days I went to Mr. Motorcycle to check on my bike and it was sitting outside in the pouring rain with the seat off - it had been raining for 2-3 days. The guys were of absolutely no help when I asked questions either. After talking to other people I learned that I should have checked reviews before taking it there. I took it to A&R Powersports (I think that's the name) and they got me taken care of ASAP for a good bit cheaper than Mr. Motorcycle quoted me - AND they had no idea whatsoever what the "special" tool was Mr. Motorcycle claimed was needed....fabricated story...
