3000 Whitney Shopping Center — Local services in Hamden

I had to go to the UPS store to buy an extra large box which is called a 26" cube. I called the day before later in the day because I had to make 6 different calls to other companies that sell boxes and they all said they usually have them but they're all sold out !! Luckily UPS store had one but they were closing so I went Wednesday and got it , still didn't go to smooth because the guy I talked to was supposed to put it aside with my name on it but when I got there and explained to the kid who was working he didn't know anything about it and looked all over the place and there just wasn't any large box with my name on it , but then he finally found the last one in the whole store so I got it. I never thought I was going to have so much trouble getting a box but some days...

It's unfair to group the individual businesses at this "Shopping Mall" together as if they constitute one business. There are several businesses, and of course, some are better than others. We use "The Fat Robin" a lot. It's a birding store and has a great selection of all things birding - bird food, birdhouses, binoculars, birding books, etc., etc. Prices are fair, and the knowledge about birds of the proprietors is extensive and we have found, always accurate. I recommend this store whole heartedly, if you need bird...

I was trying to find The UPS Store and this was my first time visit to this plaza at night. Not only did The UPS Store have no lights on its sign outside, but all the stores were not lit up. I literally drove around Whitney Avenue up and down in circles three times trying to find this plaza to get to The UPS Store just to pick up my iPhone that I thought sending there would be a safe option. Although the area is nice, I will reconsider...
