The Rib House II Go — Restaurant in Hamden

Well...that was 70 bucks I'll never see again. The ribs were supposedly smoked, but there was no smoke ring, and all the smoke taste came from the sauce. The coleslaw has enough garlic in it to ward off vampires. The baked beans tasted like they were right out of a can and coild have used some more time to tighten the sauce up. A LOT. The $3.50 side of corn bread I ordered, I think ended up being just the regular size of you got it as a side, certainly not $3.50's worth of corn bread. There's no meat by the pound, and the menu is actually missing brisket, which when I mentioned it to one of the owners, the other owner said "I told you that last week." I ordered St. Louis ribs and they gave me baby back. Barely had any meat on them. The beans were nasty weren’t seasoning taste like they just came out of the can. The rice wasn’t good. Either the Philly eggrolls disgusting. The cheese wasn’t melted. It was clumpy the ice and peppers were chopped way too big and the meat taste like it came from the frozen freezer in the grocery store. I wanna get anything other than the ribs from this place. Food is good, not great. Onion ring loaf was good. Baby back ribs were just ok, not smoked but rather just cooked with bbq sauce added after. Meh. Diesel sliders were basically a cheeseburger cut into 4 pcs lol. Also ordered a hamburger, no cheese well done and got a cheeseburger rare. Probably won't be back...
