College students beware!! I went 2 months without a laptop and the store did not bother to call me with any updates. After spilling liquid on my laptop I knew it would take time but they didn’t give me any warning as to how long i should expect my laptop to be. For 3 weeks I did not bother them but then I knew something was not right. I had to have my dad call the store almost every week and show up there in order to get answers. I understand that ordering parts takes time but the least they could have done is give me updates. Every time I called “Scott” kept telling us that something else was not working and pushed the pick up date. After a week of receiving my laptop, it is back to not working because the hard drive is having issues and now the computer shuts off on its own. When I called to inform them, they advised me to come back but said they didn’t know how long they would have to keep it. When I showed up they were trying to force me to pay more money to have it fixed even though i was within the 30 days of service. When I questioned them about this they made it seem like I was the one that damaged it because they “tested” the hard drive before I picked it up and it was fine. (Yet they never replaced it from the beginning when I spilled the liquid in it.) They eventually gave me a new hardrive without charge because they knew they were wrong, but now my computer is back to making the same noises and shutting to a black screen after only a few days of having it back AGAIN. I will no longer be returning and will take my business elsewhere which is sad because I saw the great reviews that others left. My grandfather is a veteran so I thought i could trust this place since its owned by a vet. I paid close to 400 dollars just for my laptop to still not be working and when I emailed the owner and president of cerberus he did not bother to respond. shameful!!
THEY ARE SCAMMERS. Few days back, I gave my macbook to them telling the exact issue. They said they will still take diagnostic fees of $67(non-refundable) and fixing the issue will take $135. I told them to make sure if they would be able to do it and they should not be asking $1000 dollars and then I would have to say no as most of the scammers do to earn diagnose fee. After a week they said it is going to take $900. Apple themselves take $600 to fix this issue. So they planned to get it fixed from apple for 600 and take 900 from me or they have earned $67 without doing anything. Obviously, I declined their offer as there is a big difference. Even after that they took 4-5 more days to return my macbook. At the time of returning when I asked to check, if it is still in same condition, they said they don't have charger and also they don't take guarantee that it would be still in same condition. I am surprised to see that how were they fixing even without charger. I have not seem bigger scammers than them. Later on charging, I found that they had made it worse. Now it is not even starting. I brought the computer in on a Thursday and by Saturday afternoon the machine wasn't even touched. The technician was RUDE telling me it was going to take 3 days to test my computer to diagnosis the issue. Since it was close to closing time I took my computer back because they closed at 3 and even if he finished the test the most he could do is tell me what the issue was and not fixed it till Monday. I was still charged $67 for the test which he didn't even finish and am writing this review and will take my business elsewhere in the future. When they reinstalled windows It cost me $200 in addition to their antivirus treatment so they are not a business I would recommend.
