Cool place to stop and relax, eat some food, make a call or enter new GPS directions. The scenery is alright but nothing mind blowing unless you come around sunset. There is a trail on the Northbound side however the bugs will turn you off from exploring it during the summer (I seem to get attacked even without getting out of my car if I park too close). Just like the typical Jersey park it "closes" at night, meaning don't park there unless you want to get bothered by a state trooper who happens to pass by. Read moreThis is a worthy stop not for just a few photos but for a meaningful bike ride or walk along a lovely trail. One side of the highway has vistas of the convergence of the Delaware River and the Raritan Canal. The other side offers really nice trails that follow the canal for about 6 miles. Plenty to see, plenty of shade, plenty of history, plenty of sunshine. You’ll stop hearing the highway about 3 minutes in. If you’re heading this way, carve our some time to stop here. It is nothing super-special, however, it is nice to just stop here, stretch your legs and gaze at nature.
