Sunsets are always the best part of Bordentown Beach. This is the place where people launch their boats, people picnic, fish or spend time in the gazebo. There is no swimming and it is not the type of beach where you sunbathe. It is located on the Delaware River and surrounded by woods and wildflowers. The sunset is always beautiful. It is a very tranquil place and I walk there nearly everyday. A nice place to watch the water and relax.

Newer boat owner. Launched out of here 3 or 4 times now. Easy access ramps, with plenty of parking. First launch was nerve wracking but local boaters were very supportive and helpful! Quick trip south on the river and there's coves, eateries, but a lot of Jet Skis. Head North and you can go up to Trenton area and the bridge. Great launch for anybody, will continue to be our #1 spot.

Well maintained ramp and park area. Kayak launching without boat launch fees is a plus. Only power boats with trailers need to have a permit. Makes sense. You must be wary of tides for canoes and kayaks as going against tide will be much slower. A couple of porta pottys on site. Not many people there in mid-October during the week.

It's really pretty there to find a huge body of water so close to Bordentown City! Too bad you can't swim in it! No way! Too dirty! But it's a really nice spot to go sit on your lunch hour with all the trees everywhere and watch the boats. It's a beautiful place to go walk your dog as there are small trials around a small park near the beach. I've seen many dog owners throwing balls into the water for their pups to retrieve with joy! My dog senior dog loves to sit in the shade and watch everything there! There are gazebos with benches and picnic tables to sit under and watch while the lucky people launch their boats or the jet skies fly by! The only reason you know you're not far from your house is the highway right there with all the...

Unhappy with Bordentown Beach. Went kayaking today with a group from South Jersey Outdoor club. Launched my kayak from the beach with the other club members. The kayak was brought there on a boat trailer. Since I did not use the ramp and did not have a motorized boat, a ramp permit was not required. Never-the-less, my vehicle was ticketed for not having a ramp permit by a town official who was not present while I was there. Additionally, the ticket requires a court appearance. Thanks Bordentown. After this I...

One of my favorite launch sites for kayaking. Easy access to Crosswicks Creek, Blacks Creek, the D&R canal, and the Abbott Marshlands. Plenty of water to paddle. The water here is tidal, so check the tide charts before you head out. Getting stuck in the marsh at low tide can be unpleasantly muddy, but the marsh is a beautiful place to paddle at high tide. Catch the high tide just right and it will give you a push into the marsh, and then help pull you back out. Ride the tide! Always paddle safe and wear your...
