Horrible product and service from flowers by Marianne. I always believe in supporting local small businesses before big box/larger retailers. I have gone to this flower shop prior as my mom lives local. My mom is 90 and I wanted to send her flowers with Thomas Kinkaid keepsake for her to enjoy prior to and through Xmas leading into new years. With delivery, tip and the flowers the bill was just shy of $160. The flowers were delivered on 12/23 towards the end of the day. I spoke with my mom on the 23rd at night and she expressed how thankful she was for the thoughtful gift. I asked her if the arrangement was amazing and she asked “do you want me to be honest.?” She said she could tell this was probably an expensive arrangement but that the smaller underlying flowers were already wilted and “struggling” and the larger roses were “at peak.” Mind you, this was just a couple of hours after they were delivered. By Xmas day only a couple of flowers did not look like they needed to be tossed. I also ordered a box of chocolates that my mom enjoys. The chocolates were on the bill but were not delivered. I emailed the shop the morning of 12/24 and truly understood that the shop would be busy. I did not hear back on the 24th, they were closed on the 25th, they were off on the 26th and I waited until mid day on the 27th to call them. Allison answered the phone and could not have been any ruder then she was. I was actually shocked at her attitude when I tried to explain that I had emailed on the 23rd for the missing purchased product and the poor quality of their flowers. Her poor attitude just really hit me the wrong way. She could have cared less and when I tried to nicely explain what was going on she said “I’ll tell the owner” and hung up the phone. I always believe in being patient and understanding especially when businesses get really busy. I then realized my Mom is 90 yrs old and not sure how many do overs that I will get to have to make her feel special during the holidays. We lost my dad and I live on the west coast and my mom is on the east coast. The poor quality of flowers, the missing product, the lack of follow through and the rude attitude of Allison is why I will not recommend or do business with flowers by Marianne again. I ask for the owner to please contact me to get resolution for this and hope that Allison finds some...

Wow. Worst customer service story I've ever heard.

My mother ordered flowers from this place for my wife for her birthday. Much like the other poor reviews read, this was a complete disaster. We were home most of the day when they supposedly attempted to deliver, yet they claimed they attempted to deliver.

They "tried calling" the number my mom left for them to contact my wife for the delivery, but apparently the number was incorrect. What would make sense would be to contact the person who ordered the flowers to get the correct number (my mom), but they never considered doing this. They delivered the next day TO OUR NEIGHBORS (who literally just moved in).. after my mom called back to say she was so disappointed they weren't delivered.

They said this was standard protocol.. to deliver a product someone paid for.. to another location. They then said my wife needed to go pick them up at the neighbor's house. My mom said she felt like that was a strange ask considering the point of sending someone flowers is like 99% the delivery. ON TIME. TO THE RIGHT PLACE.

They even had the audacity to tell my mom that this would be a good opportunity for my wife to meet the new neighbors. Marianne got "so upset" that she needed to put my mom on hold. At which point the Manager picked up. She at one point told my mom that this was such a minor thing she really shouldn't get that upset over something like this. Are you kidding me? I've been in customer service of some kind for over 15 years and that is literally the LAST thing you ever say to a customer... particularly after you completely dropped the ball as a company.

Long story short there are many options for florists all over the place, don't waste your time giving this place your business. Try Drinkwater in Hampton, they're way better - fresh, fast, quality service with no issues ever. What a joke Flowers by Marianne is, a florist who doesn't understand the importance of customer service or delivering product on time to the correct location.

They're "making it right" by letting the new neighbors keep the first arrangement and are sending my wife a replacement, a day late. Can't wait to see what kind of interaction we'll have with the delivery person when they arrive. Glad they were focused on good customer service for our unknowingly involved neighbors. What a...

Received an arrangement from my son on 9/13 late in the day . Beautiful flowers and by Friday the light purple flowers the petals were all falling off. Took them out and wasn’t too worried about it. Then over the weekend the rest of the arrangement was getting lifeless and petals falling off the roses and sunflowers. Tried to call Sunday but they aren’t open. Tried again on Monday and it just rang and rang. Had an emergency at home and couldn’t call back. So I called Tuesday and spoke to someone who had my name and number and said the delivery manager would call me back and she never did. Then called again today Wednesday and she wasn’t available and the person talking to me is telling me well now it’s 9 days old and I should have done something sooner. I have been trying for 4 days now to reach someone. When the first flowers fell off I wasn’t going to complain about it, it wasn’t a big deal but when the rest started looking bad then I called. I’ve received delivery flowers and I follow all the instructions about adding water or changing water and cutting the ends off a little and I’ve had them last 2 or 3 weeks and once almost a month. I know how to care for flowers. I have beautiful gardens at my house that I care for that are amazing. This was a birthday gift and who knows what my son spent but they should at least last a week. I don’t want to tell him because he will be disappointed because he lives out of state and wanted to give me something beautiful that I could enjoy. That wasn’t the case. Two different arrangements in two days. The flowers were not fresh by any means! These are not discounted flowers, in fact, both arrangements were very generous given to me by my husband. I was embarrassed to use this sunflower arrangement as a centerpiece with two dead sunflowers less than 24 hours old! The yellow arrangement was dying 12 hours later. Wishing 18 hours, look how many dead stems! Unacceptable! Please take warning and save your money! We were taken advantage of and feel completely fleeced. When my husband picked up the second arrangement (sadly already ordered in advance) he told them about the sunflowers. They claim they would have come and fixed (on Thanksgiving day? Sure !…easy to say when no one there to answer the phones.) So sad! These flowers were meant to bring joy and happiness yet bring anger and frustration. It is like throwing money out the window! You’ve been warned.

I used this vendor for my wedding. Marianne and her team are the best around!!! During our meetings I was able to let Marianne know what I was looking for with flowers, but I'm no expert. She helped me with all the details and in choosing flowers that would be within season and even what would be more affordable! For example I wanted peonies, but they were not in season, so she found me a beautiful flower that looked just like a peony, but was half the cost! I can't even tell you how above and beyond Marianne and her team went. When I went to have a sneak peak of the reception with the flowers and centerpieces I cried! The flowers were absolutely gorgeous and the decor exceeded my expectations. I could not be happier with Marianne and her teams work and would highly recommend them!

I feel as though this was at most a $15.00 plant, pennies for the ribbon and maybe $5 for the basket, not the $50 I paid. I also feel that the delivery fee of $15.00 is quite excessive considering the delivery location was a mile away." Save your money and go to Shaws or Hannaford!

I used this vendor for my wedding. Marianne and her team are the best around!!! During our meetings I was able to let Marianne know what I was looking for with flowers, but I'm no expert. She helped me with all the details and in choosing flowers that would be within season and even what would be more affordable!
