Piggly Wiggly — Local services in Hampton

Best piggly wiggly I have been to as far as nice neat shelves, all the shelves are fully stocked and nice and neat. Rare for a grocery store. Well managed and very nice and friendly staff. It is a small store and very old, bathroom is a small bathroom and used by both women and men, one person at a time. You have to wait if occupied, and that is not good if you have to go bad. The floors and walks are old and dirty, and the registers a d check out is old and out dated, but the management is great! They would get 5 stars not 4 if they had two bathrooms one for women one for men and were big enough for more than one at a time like the bathrooms on the food lion in sister city Hampton. I can overlook the smallness and old floors ceilings and walls. Oh the parking lot is dirty and full of pot holes...

If I could leave zero stars I would! I went to the store asked for 2 balloons the cashier said they wasn't doing balloons today I asked why she stated they were short staffed, well there was no one else in line behind me a manager standing next to her doing nothing as they debated back and fourth asking each other who felt like blowing up a whole 2 balloons! All is wanted was 2 balloons to take to my grandmother's graveside it shouldn't have been that hard what happen to customer service is this how you train your workers to...

I could not get out of store quick enough. EVERYONE (ALL EMPLOYEES) were in terrible moods. Grumpy, not smiling, didn't want to help . it was awful!!!! the worst experience. I usually get great service n happy ppl but today every single employee acted like they didn't want to be there Couldn't leave fast enough. The African American older lady putting up drinks near the western union was a delight. She was the ONLY one nice in the entire store Thank you for her!!!!!!!!!!!! 1st time ever this happened ...
