Came here for a late weekend brunch. The atmosphere isn't very welcoming with harsh white lighting better suited to an office or medical building. There was a musty smell where we were seated. The benches at the booths are higher than average. Booths are reasonably roomy. Things appeared to be clean. One nice touch was that each booth has an electric outlet to allow patrons to charge their phones.
Our server was great. Regrettably, I don't recall his name but he was a younger, smaller gentleman with blonde hair and glasses. He was friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive.
I had french toast and hash browns and my teenage son had chilaquiles. The food was good. Portions were as expected. I asked for the hash browns well done and I appreciated that they were actually cooked well instead of just the outer layer being well done with undercooked insides like most places serve them.
The prices seemed a little on the high side but not outrageously so.
Overall, a standard brunch place. You probably won't be overly impressed but you won't likely be...
Read moreGreat place! I had the California eggs Benedict, as recommended by our great server Stacey, and my husband had the Tijuana omelette with French Toast & fruit. We both had coffee and overall rating was phenomenal! Aside from downtown Lou Mitchell's I've never had delicious non classic eggs Benedict in the burbs. These were super great. The eggs were perfectly poached (rare find), the hollandaise sauce was perfect not tangy, not sweet, very smooth (also rare), and the ingredients were super fresh (also big rare). The Tijuana omelette came with a great Mexican salsa perfect to go along with the steak. The French toast were delicious and the fruit was also super fresh. Coffee was also great, I had mine black. We are newer to the area so we've been trying to try as many new places as possible. The server was awesome despite it being busy, I'm guessing they have many loyal customers because we were recognized as newbies. Definitely recommend...
Read moreI walked in with high hopes with this place. As soon as I stepped in, we were seated.. which impressed me. We got our drinks and ordered immediately. 20 minutes after we ordered, we noticed the people that ordered after us received their food, still no food for us. 10 mins later I see a lady asking every table if they had ordered soup, she didn’t even ask our table.. we had to approach her to let her know that that was our soup. Its been an hour and still no food, while the surrounding tables around us received theirs. The waitress passed by us multiple times and looked at us and did not bother to ask if we were fine or give any updates on the food, let alone just tell us that the kitchen was backed up. We left with having only received our soup. We told the hostess about the situation and she apologized and said the reason for the wait was due to the...
