Sadly DG is so under staffed, and underpaid. It seems as if the staff does not want to do any work. Quite to the contrary, when you only get one or two days to stock shelves, but don't have the staff to cover the work needed, this is why most DG stores look the way they do. While the management is forced to make up the short fall in staff you'll have managers doing the work load of four or five staff members. I have heard managers working 80 hours a week and more just to try to get the stock pit out. Keep in mind a manager is salaried not hourly, the get paid the same no matter how many hours they work. My latest visit I stepped to the register which was lit as open to have the girl say Im closed. I went to the only other line to have the cashier tell me she cant take cash, which is what I was paying with. I tossed my items on a rack, told them their store sucks and left.
