I have known Darrell, Rheanna, Larry, Zach, and the crew here for years now and I will try to be as Unbiased as possible in writing this. In my professional opinion, the shop is great! Darrell moved over to this location a few years ago now and brought in vendors to fill the gigantic shopping space of the new location. There's always something interesting to see and a good conversation to be had.
There is a rule of thumb to be known about antique stores and vendor malls: You gotta remember that the booth owner sets their price and has to cover overhead cost as well, so sometimes you will find some stuff that is a little pricier than you would think it should be, but don't be afraid to ask for a best price! It is expected in this market. Sometimes the shop attendants cannot budge much on the price, but other times, it is often a simple call to see what the vendor can do on the price. On the other hand, antiques are often rare or one of a kind, so it is not like walking in Walmart and expecting everything to be priced competitively and knowing an estimate behind the markup. There's often no reference for what an Item should sell for and I cannot stress enough how unrealistic a price is if you see it listed on eBay! If it sold for that, then yes, consider the price, if it is listed and no one is watching it, then it's probably priced to high or the seller does not know what they should actually be listing it as.
Anyways, that's my rant. Good luck to Darrell and the crew! Great place, nice look and feel, and always something...
Read moreOne of my favorite antique shops to visit in Harriman TN. Plenty of guy stuff to look through. The owner is always nice and engaging and seems glad to have you visit his store.
While browsing around I found a very nice vintage Pflueger 231 Japan made spinning reel that was in great shape mechanically and decent shape astetically. He also had an appropriate sized spinning rod separate of the reel. The rod was a D. A. M. International by Quick, Model SRS-80, 8ft Medium/Heavy spinning rod. I was able to talk the shop owner into doing a bundle deal. For the rod and reel and he came off the price for both so that I was able to get both pieces for $5 over the price of the reel which to me was a pretty fair deal. I left the store very happy and got the rod and reel home and cleaned them both up such that they will make a great addition to my catfishing reel collection. The reel restored perfectly and the rod cleaned up pretty well too. I can't wait to take the combo out for it's first catfishing trip to see how much luck the old school equipment still...
Read moreWOW!!! Awesome place and awesome folks! So we arrive last afternoon and so glad we did! First, the staff on January 12, 2023 we warm, inviting and great sense of humor. We found a great vintage Fiestaware pitcher and vintage Luziane advertisement sign and noticed a lot of racket upstairs. The staff said ‘technically’ they were opening until tomorrow, but since we were from out of town, we could take a peek!
JACK POT for us! The new decor is AMAZING!
Love the old, rusted metal panels and barn wood! People are going to live and appreciate the work and effort y’all made to make this space inviting!
New vendors were upstairs setting up and putting the final touches on the booth spaces! We meet Daphine and her hubby and took a beautiful 60’s era double sink w/ double drain boards off their hands!
We can’t wait to add it to our kitchen…now to make the counter that will truly showcase this beautiful piece!
Thank y’all for you...
