In July 2021 my parents bought us a Samsung washing machine as a house warming gift from Best Buy. The washing machine has never worked properly, being a new house owner I let it go awhile. It would never spin and the clothes would come out soaked. Well while using THE MANUAL to attempt to trouble shoot it ourselves, it quit working all together. It wouldn’t fill with water. So I called Samsung who sent a technician, Nicholas (see comments below of other people that this technician has lied about/ provided awful service) from American Standard Appliance Repair on 11/23/21. The technician came out looked at the washer for about 10 minutes. On his way out he stated to leave the screws on the dryer because he would be back in 5-10 business days once the parts came in. He stated it needed a new motherboard and water valve. That was all he said and he departed, handed me nothing. I called to inform my parents of this, who then called Samsung. A Samsung representative informed them that my washer was infested with cockroaches; therefore, voided the warranty. Once I heard this, I was in disbelief. I went down stairs and see this ā€œinfestation.ā€ There is NO infestation, as you can see in the pictures below. I sent these pictures to Samsung, which did nothing. Samsung now wants me to bring an exterminator to my house to provide a certificate that my washer is not infested. This is about $150.00 completely paid by me, so they can ā€œescalateā€ the situation. This is completely outrageous. We’ve now been without a washer for over a month. Best Buy REFUSES to do anything. Samsung REFUSES to do anything. They have SLANDERED my name. Tell my parents that I am nasty and have an infestation. AVOID these companies. Save yourself the hassle of dealing with these garbage appliances and GARBAGE customer service. Absolutely disgusting. So disappointed and I will never be buying a product from either of these AWFUL places again. Please share this to save your loved ones from having to deal with these people. I am posting this 3 years later. Nick had called me when I originally posted this and asked me to take it down. He lied and told me that he never told Samsung that my washer was infested with cockroaches. He said he would call and clear everything up, but he did not. I ended up having to fight for 2 weeks until Samsung sent another company to fix it. I was informed by this other company that nick used to work for them and was fired. Long story short, I would highly advise against using nick unless you like liars.

Contacted Samsung customer service for warranty work on a 2 month "new" refrigerator. Higher Standard Appliance Repair was the business Samsung contacted. I was a little leery at first, based on previous customer reviews. I was contacted the next day by Nick, who was courteous and understood the problem associated with the refrigerator. I gave him the part number for the faulty piece, where he stated he would bring the replacement. I was again contacted later the same day their scheduling and advised specific repair dates and times, which turned out to be the following day. Sure enough, Nick arrived, parts in hand, and 15 minutes early. šŸ‘ New parts were the freezer drawer slide rails, which were installed in less than 5 minutes, good as new. Great warranty service!!! Thank you!!!

Tech came out to my house on 3/18/24 and broke my assembly to inspect the part and company is not willing to do the right thing after admitting they broke it on a email. Zero stars I reported this company to Samsung and there is an open ticket. Will update the public on this issue since the repair company is not taking it serious.

Bad company. I wrote a review 1 week ago and I would not give them 1 star but the process makes me give them 1. Now my first review is gone and along with my review the 4 other very negative reviews from other unhappy customers are also gone . Wow! Are they editing reviews or deleting them to make their company look better?

5/2018 - To the response of owner. You are highly misinformed from your technician of the details. I never said I would cancel my credit card. I did tell him I was dissatisfied with this company and surprised how long it took to come out and fix my machine. If he assumed or told you I would cancel my credit card......Lies! He then stated he would only except CASH. I asked him why? He wanted me to leave and go get cash at my bank. I have never been asked to go get cash while the tech waits outside my home? What kind of request is that? I felt very uncomfortable so I asked him to leave. I requested to see the part to call Maytag to ask questions when he then aggressively threw his elbow up and blocked my body. His elbow hit my arm. At that point I asked him to leave again for my own safety and kids in my home. He packed his items and I picked up the boxed part as he left my home and told him I was going to call Maytag for instruction and inform them about what happened, I then closed my door for my safety. He said :"I am calling the Police" and I said.. "go ahead because his action were scaring me. 3 police officers showed up that I knew because I am very involved in my community and school system as a volunteer and contract employee. The police showed up while I was on the phone with Maytag. The were very surprised to be called to my home. They addressed me be my first name and asked what in the world is going on. The police listened and heard Maytag state they will send a different repair company and new parts and to request your the police to make sure the tech left and the parts were handed to your tech. I told your tech I was going to verify with Maytag that I would not have to pay for the 2nd set of parts because they covered the first set under warranty before he left. Instead he called the police which was fine with me because of his actions! A new company came with new parts and I paid with my credit card and have been washing clothes ever since and every once in a while I remember how scared I was as a mom with my kids in my home because of your company!!!!!! I do not recommend this company and the memory still is with me more than a...

While it makes me very sad to read the two other reviewers also had crappy Samsung appliances to deal with (I bought Samsung because it's supposed to be reliable!) I am happy to report that I am also very satisfied with the help we got from Higher Standards. After getting the run-around with Samsung technical support when our 3 year old dishwasher suddenly stopped working, they finally dispatched Higher Standards to our home all the way out in Ann Arbor. Chris was here on time even though the snow made the roads awful for driving, and he quickly diagnosed that the printed circuit board (the control panel on top) was the problem, and not that the main circuit board was fried like we originally thought. Although it took a week for the part to come in, I definitely cannot blame them for that. The employee that made all the phone calls to us, Nicole, was very nice and worked some magic to get our part covered under warranty, even though we couldn't find our receipt from when we purchased the dishwasher. When Chris came back to install the part, he informed us that they would be replacing BOTH circuit boards, covered under warranty, just in case. While my husband and I were big cranky babies about having to wash dishes by hand for over two weeks, we are forever grateful for the work and quality of customer service that Higher Standards...
