By far the worst customer service I have ever dealt with IN MY LIFE. I had an issue with my car battery and called to inquire on how to handle it and I was put on hold for an hour before someone answered. Then I had an issue with the device and was put on hold AGAIN for over an hour until I decided to hang up because I could not wait any longer. I then called back to speak with a manager and expressed my frustrations with the person on the phone and that person bulled me over on the phone, completely disregarded my concerns and directed right back to the hold line I was just previously on for over an hour. I finally took my device in and was told to call back after 24 hours to speak to a manager. So I called back after 24 hours and left the manager a voicemail and the person that transferred me to the voicemail told me a manager would reach back out to me in 24 hours to review my case. It has now been a week and have yet to hear from anyone so I just got off the phone with them and their response was they are experiencing high call volume and they would reach out to me in the order in which my voicemail was received. This is an issue concerning my license and I have expressed that this is an important issue and not a single person has even acknowledged my concerns.    Read moreAvoid this company! The breathalyzer equipment is outdated and flaky at best. I have already switched providers and now know there is a much better option for both equipment and customer service. The device beeps loudly and sometimes randomly and at arbitrary times - this can't be considered normal operation. If you have no alternative, take video and picture of your tests and results (EVERY single one). If there is a violation, they will refuse to admit (or even listen) that the device could have possibly been in error (this of course will bring all of their test results into question so I guess understandable that they will deny the possibility of a device malfunction . . . but they also don't seem to care that they may be getting innocent people thrown in jail). Unfortunately, my experience has been the device does not operate in a repeatable manner (alarms sounding and lights flashing at random, violations for which I unfortunately wasn't taking video to prove otherwise, etc). It will be your word against their word and the court will only accept their word. Your freedom may end up depending on it so avoid this company...
   Read moreI had nationwide on Stephenson highway for my breathalyzer and they were a total nightmare after installation. I had them for 18 months. Faulty blow machine several times, and at one point I had to cancel an appointment which I had only done once and they hit me with a huge fee. They do not listen to you or communicate, it’s very 1 sided company. Your situation or what you’re trying to communicate does not matter, when I said total nightmare, that’s an understatement!
I decided to switch companies and go to Smart Start, I needed to get in the same day of my first phone call to them. They got me in right away, they were quick with installation, great communication and pricing! They were very kind and explained everything thoroughly! There machine is also very easy to blow in compared to nationwide. I also love that they have a little clip you slide your machine on to so it doesn’t look tacky or your machine just sitting in a random place and flying around in your car. I’m very happy with smart start and look forward to my future business with them. Total relief I don’t have to deal with...
