THIS PLACE IS NOTHING BUT A CON. On Wednesdays, they advertise a special of $10 for 2 games and shoes per person. When we got there and asked about the advertised special; she answered us, with an attitude, the price is $20 for 2 hours per person and pointed at the other option of 1 hour for $15 per person. We decided to bowl anyway, as a party of 4 for 2 hours, and ended up getting 3 and 3/5 games done. If you’re in the middle of a game they do not extend it unless you’re on turn 9. About halfway through our 2 hours, the screen notified us that we only had 10 minutes left; one of our party members had to go ask the lady to add the second hour we had payed for to our bowling time and she questioned our paying for the 2 hours before she eventually added the second hour. NOT TO MENTION, the bowling balls suck there. They have no bowling balls with bigger finger holes and according to the women in my party the place is filthy as hell, especially the bathroom. HORRIBLE EQUIPMENT: Towards the end of your time or during the last game, the re-racking system literally takes just over 1 minute per person. There were over 10 times where my party got a strike and the system didn’t count it; we had to fix it manually. The tv’s are old because the scores from our previous games were burnt into the screen making it hard to see occasionally. Another issue is that they have 32 lanes, but cramped everyone in lanes 18- 28. They had 2 birthday parties group and at least 4 total groups including the birthday groups with a party OVER 10. It seemed like the idea to cramp everyone was a strategic move to slow everyones bowling down. No music or anything was playing despite all of the stickers on their front door displaying their awards for “best music”. They also don’t allow any water to be brought in, so we decided to actually spend the $3 to get 1 water bottle and the machine broke and wasted everyone’s time. The machine also refunded my 3 dollars in all nickels (I understand vending machines are 3rd party, but maybe have a reliable partner! The lady was complaining about the guy who owns the vending machines). I went to the front desk to get cash and the lady at the front desk couldn’t count the $3 of nickels correctly (she re-counted 3 times). Either the machine shorted my change or she cannot count. Ultimately, I had to give an extra quarter to even get my 3 dollars cash back.
We definitely would have not settled for this place if we did not have to. If you have the opportunity to go to a different place DO IT. They do not correctly advertise what they offer, they have bad equipment, they are rude and have extremely...
Read moreIt is quite apparent that the Owner puts no money into upkeep. Except for the lane's wood itself, nothing in here is in good shape.
The pricing is crazy! $15 per person for one hour. So two people is $30 per person for one hour of bowling. Here is the kicker though - the time starts as soon as the worker takes your payment and before you get your shoes and find a ball. Not truly getting 60 minutes of bowling. Then as you bowl you can count on the lane pinsetter malfunctioning and the ball not being returned. You press the "Need Assistance" button and time continues to tick away. Then the worker meanders over to the lane like they are being bothered. Meanwhile time ticking away! The worker (wearing all Pittsburgh Steelers things) would reset the pins and erase your score which is ridiculous! I had a game with 4 strikes in a row and the ball failed to return and he reset my score. Every time we had a malfunction (Lane 8) he reset the score. I am quite sure that during League play that no bowler would put up with their score being reset. This worker had no interest in doing anything other than just resetting the score. Even though the place was virtually empty he never offered to switch us to a lane that was working better than Lane 8.
In 60 minutes we were able to complete just 3 3/4 games due to the constant malfunctions and the slow response from the worker. So for $30 it came to just over 80 cents per frame. And here is another thing - you can have a good game going and when the timer hits 0 minutes left you are done! Doesn't matter if you have a 9 strike game going or constant malfunctions. The system is time based and not frame/game based. The only other option is to go to the front desk and extend your time by a full one hour. They won't even give you a minute more to finish a game. Bowling is a ten frame game not 7 frames.
Overall - save your money, time, and aggravation. This may be the only place in town to bowl (except duck pin at Ruby's) but is a big...
Read moreRude and unpleasant worker greated through a locked door. There claimed they were open from 11-9. We were waving at people inside who looked at us and shrugged us off. After 5 min a rude man who acted like we inconvenienced him came at the door with an attitude. Told us they were suppossed to open a 5, Sign says 11am tho. Then tells us systems are down and they are open. Followed by I dont know what to tell u folks, then walked away. Never opened door, talked to us through door, did not let us ask possible time of opening or offer to let us sit inside and wait. While there 5 cars holding about 20 people pulled up. All lost business as well, prob $300+ in business lost in 5 min. Anywere I have been has not locked people out, treated them rude, not answer questions, and def not spoken to people through locked doors. Open your door, explain what's wrong, then offer us an option to sit inside and wait of go to your lounge. Maybe the place is nice, idk, but dont be rude. Most the customers here during summer, keeping you open and employees paid are driving 45min from resort. Treat them right or they with...
