Creekside Meats — Local services in Hartford Township

I was really looking forward to the smoke chickens I heard so much about. My ill mother ordered them and sent me to pu. Upon arrival I gave the order name and a young lady hastily rummaged through papers. She asked me to repeat the order name and asked what it was I ordered. I informed her and she kept asking about a hot and ready meal. I told her I didn’t think so (not knowing what that was) and she verbatim said, “I don’t know what you’re talking about.” A few more words were exchanged before she snapped at me to phone the person that placed the order. Eventually with the help of another employee, it was determined that the order was cancelled due to unavailability. This is all fine as business can run out, off days, etc. What bothered me is the “I don’t know what your talking about” and rudely asking me to move so other customers could be helped… to far. As a business owner myself, I would be appalled if my employee said these things to my customer and extremely concerned an upsale of another item wasn’t offered which I would have purchased since it was around dinner. Instead—our family will no longer make purchases from this establishment.

*owner says I was yelling at employee—I was pretty calm other than annoyed. And when I yell… everyone will know and it wouldn’t take you 10 min to come out to “defend” your employee. No yelling involved. Just a bunch of attitude and side eye from the young woman which is my main review. And yes, by the time he came out I had made the decision that I wasn’t coming...

Had the best experience shopping here. We left with 2 NY strips, 1 RibEye, 1 Teres Major (maybe Chateaubriand?), steak tips, various sausages (southern breakfast, summer, skillet), beef tallow (just prepared today!), ground bison, and a whole bunch of bacon (some normal and the THICK cut). We just ate the steaks, and WOW! These meats are incredible!! The prices seemed more than fair to us (we live in Florida, and travel a lot, so don't know what is common in the area). Highly recommend using Creekside Meats for your meat needs, they have all the meats you could imagine in there. We hope to be back! The owners (?) Or the lady and gentleman helping us were both very helpful and knowledgeable about the meats and helped us find some things we could cook on only a stove top....

The Owner Casey and the Creekside team was a pleasure to work with. Casey went above and beyond to organize, butcher, and deliver our venison in a timely manner. He was willing to work around my schedule for dropping off and picking up our meat and was friendly and responsive throughout the process. The meat is also delicious!
