Food Lion — Local services in Hartsville

This is a updated review. This location has spent massive amounts of time & effort on changing the entire loom aand operation of the store. Overall experience was much better and more selection than previous experience I noticed a cheaper or off brand selection a lot more than I have in the past and the price are extremely fair if not great! The check out process last few times was fine however I was forced to use self check put 2 out of the last 3 visits due to the high demand of service from employees vs self check out and I had Ice Cream so as much as I am against bagging my own 😄 for free I reluctantly scanned, bagged, & swipped and was on my way with really no interaction from staff and I was on my way. This was honestly what I wanted for the aim of my trip a quick in & out grab and they made that happen with convenience so I will upgrade the old grade to a new 5 star and keep up the great work! Suggestions maybe 🤔 more meet greet or hi & byes but I would definitely recommend to shop...

We need a good grocery store in Hartsville. I thought maybe Food Lion would be closer when they first took over this store from BiLo, but that's not how it's worked out. Shelves continue to be more empty. Very few brand options. Only really basic things, nothing gastronomically interesting. Often not even basic options are available. For example this weekend when there was no half and half other than fat free. Produce is old when it hits the shelf. Especially lettuces and mushrooms. It's just getting more pathetic all the time. Please Harris Teeter! Please Publix!...

Overall this is a nice store. However on our last visit the cashier was not very good or verbal. I am hoping she is new. My husband as usual there was bagging our groceries (did I mention he does not work for Food Lion). As she pushed the receipt at me she started ringing up the next customer. My husband was still bagging our order. I did mention He Doesn't Work There. She never bothered to help. Oh she did stop the belt so the other person order didn't get to ours. Food Lion is not Aldi's and self bagging is beginning to annoy. Please teach your...
