I last visited an Aldi over 10 years ago and my impression then was not very favorable. At the behest of my fiancé we visited this new one at Ralph's Corner in Lansdale/Hatfield/Towamencin. Our primary mission was to explore their gluten free options. While there is not a lot of gf selections, the products were somewhat unique and worth giving a go. I was also surprised to find several other products that were far cheaper than in nearby competitive stores. If you have never been to an Aldi, go in with an open mind and note that to keep their prices low they don't offer grocery bags for free (though they are only $.06-10 paper/reusable plastic respectively) and their grocery carts require a quarter to use that you get back when you return the cart. Not a big deal really, but it can be off putting to some people. Because the store is new it was clean and nicely laid out with a modern...
Read moreI added Aldi into my grocery shopping stores, and saved about 100.00. I now go there first, then produce junction, then giant. I'm glad I tried Aldi, especially because of the cost of food now. So I recommend Aldi to people like me who are struggling so hard in this economy mess, and inflation. it's like, ok, I'll pay my rent and pick which other bills I can pay half of, or not at all. But I'll have somewhere to starve to death. But if you can get some money together for food, Go to Aldi especially for milk and eggs. A lot cheaper than anywhere else. That's just an example, a lot of things there are a lot cheaper there as well. Like I said I go there first now for everything I got to get. So God bless Aldi. Helping us all not to not...
Read moreI love my Aldi's store but I'm not sure where they are finding the employees!! There a couple of really nice people but I'm so sick and tired of them throwing my stuff into the cart!! They throw your fruit, bread, chips, cookies, it doesn't matter and then will just continue to throw/drop items on top. They need to be more considerate, the old Aldi's took better care where placing items in the cart. I've shopped Aldi's for 30 years. Update: The checkout line is always very long because there is only ever one cashier? Not to mention that each week the prices are increased, not each month but each week! I know there's a problem but as of now Walmart is actually the same price or even cheaper on many of the items I...
